Thanks J3adSeed. Was just putting my AVIC-D1 in and was looking for the speed wire. I have no problem bypassing the safety crap with the speed wire connected. It helps

Thanks J3adSeed. Was just putting my AVIC-D1 in and was looking for the speed wire. I have no problem bypassing the safety crap with the speed wire connected. It helps the accuracy of the GPS and the digital speedo guage and nav works better with it connected. With my unit you just have to add a pin to a blank slot in the connector and ground it to bypass. My scosche harness does not have a pin in terminal #18, maybe i can rob one of the unused ones for that.
Any luck on a reverse wire closer to the dash area? |
