Default New install/removal of Bose Sub

So, I am going to install a Zenclosure with JL 10w3v3 and JL mono channel 500 watt amp. The install will be straight forward into a Kenwood DNN990HD.

Can I simply remove the BOSE subwoofer from the spare tire and still continue utilizing the other Bose components?

I already have the wire harness from Crutchfield that allows the Bose to work with an aftermarket headunit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I believe the Bose sub has a built in amplifier, so you should be ok just disconnecting it, and moving forward.

I was hoping that was all I had to do with it. Figured I would counteract some of the added weight from the zenclosure by removing the Bose sub. Don't really need to be running both at the same time and it might sound like ****.

Yes you can. but you will soon learn that you should replace the bose components as your system as your subs will over power them and you will need amplified power for your components.

I'm going to swap the components out eventually. Just need to figure out what I want.
