What to know about Bose

I'm not completely clear, maybe it's just me but you CAN swap out the bose system even if you have factory nav right (with the LOCs and everything)? Or is all the advice here for people who have the touring without nav?

If you have the stock nav there is no way of changing out the head unit, You must keep it and ise a LOC to add new amps and speakers.

If you have the bose system with no nav you can swap out the head unit.

You are completely WRONG!!! I plan to do another post when time permits for my setup but here is how to do the conversion from the Nav to the non-Nav setup DIY – NAV System Conversion with working rear defrost

Do that and then you can install an aftermarket head unit or do like me and do a hidden single din unit behind a Workshop Twelve 10.1 dash tablet kit. I have full steering wheel controls, mic, radio, etc with a USB connected and powered tablet.
