There is already a plug and play solution for inputting & converting composite to component video to the harness behind the LCD screen. The problem is it isn't cheap because of the built in video converter.

I think being able to switch component video input into that plug and play harness would make more sense. If it is designed to be relay driven, another set of poles on the relay to switch audio inputs will do the trick.

Doing the above would allow audio & video input from an iPod Touch or iPhone after purchasing the iPod to component cable from the Apple store.
