Those with radar detectors/dashcams, do you hide them?

I use a 8500 in a weathertight box under the front. Run 4 wires through the firewall. 2 for power and 2 for speaker on a switch. Hammond Mfg. -

Hammond Mfg. - Multipurpose Translucent Polycarbonate Enclosures (1591 Series)
Use the red IR one so the laser still works.
