That is a good workaround! If you are in a place with poor data coverage though, your hands free calling will stop working - but that is a pretty low

That is a good workaround! If you are in a place with poor data coverage though, your hands free calling will stop working - but that is a pretty low risk item..
Unfortunately I have already bought and installed a headunit with bluetooth and purchased a 9" tablet to integrate so I am going to keep going the direction I am in. If I had figured this out beforehand though, I would just delete the stereo completely and run everything off a 10" tablet. The phone ringing issue probably wouldnt even affect me as I am on project Fi, so I have nearly perfect hangouts integration to my phone service.
