jack up the car and shake each wheel to see if there is any movement or play. you can also spin the wheels and see if there is any wobbling.

You have to drop the wheel really hard to lose the stick-on weigh.

Just be careful. If the wheel weigh fell off, you can simply balance it. it can be very dangerous going 80mph if something is loose.

Then what's the question? He admitted you might have lost a wheel weight. Go get the wheel re-balanced. I wouldn't spend a second worrying about any other possible reason until you've done that.

Just relax. Go check the torque on the lugs. If that's fine, take the wheel to be re-balanced. There's about a 99% chance of that being the cause of the problem, especially since the mechanic flat out said he could have knocked off a wheel weight. There's no sense in getting worked up about what else it could be until you've eliminated the most likely possibility.

If you're really concerned about the outside chance the hub ring broke off, go take off the wheel and look. Nothing's stopping you from going out and eliminating that possibility yourself.

Your car came with both a jack and the necessary tool to remove and reinstall the wheel.

The H&R hub ring broke off when ther wheels were being changed over. The hub ring broke at the collar. Prior to changing the wheels, there was no issue. As the wheels were remounted, the hub collar did not allow for a flush mount, hence the wobble.

Replacing the spacer obviously fixed the problem.

Your issue may be totally related to the weights being off. Don''t panic till you check it out!
