Default 2nd set of wheels... TPMS sensors

I have a second set if wheels that I will be using for winter tires with OEM TPMS sensors on them... When I put them on my Z will they automatically sync to my car or do I have to get them programmed to my car?

Will I have to get them reprogrammed every time I change my wheels back and forth?

I'm pretty sure that your car will only identify one set of sensors

So they have to get reprogrammed every time I switch the wheels?

Tire pressure is measured by the actual device not the car so if the pressure is low enough it gives the signal to the car, nothing has to be changed

So if there aren't any, will the car care?

Yes, the TPMS is sync to one set of sensors. I should know, I've done the same thing. I bought new wheels with a set of OEM sensors and my Z isn't reading them. Somebody said Discount tire can reset the system if you aren't wanting to go the dealer route.

How does it manifest itself when the Z can't read them? I just replaced my stock wheels with aftermarket ones. The aftermarket wheels are supposed to have TPMSs in them. I only drove the car twice since, and have not seen any differece. Is there supposed to be a light that lights up if there are issues?

I take that each sensor has it's own ID and that's why the tpms wouldn't read the new ones?

Yes, I went by a local Discount tire when they were slow (not packed) and had a really cool guy do mine for free.

I need to install the oem sensors on the 'Work' wheels. I read that I can use the band to install them. Any feed back on using the band? I can't use the Work sensor adapter due to the type of valve stem I have and don't want to drill extra holes on the wheels. Thx.
