Can you tell if a set of wheels+tires has TPMS sensors w/out unmounting the tires?

The title of the thread explains the conundrum... A quick google didn't show much. 50% say you need to unmount the tires, the other 50% say that if it has

Default Can you tell if a set of wheels+tires has TPMS sensors w/out unmounting the tires?

The title of the thread explains the conundrum...
A quick google didn't show much. 50% say you need to unmount the tires, the other 50% say that if it has a metal valve stem, it HAS the TPMS sensors


Any input would be appriciated

Tire places have a tool that senses the transponders w/o having to remove the tire. Hope this helps.

But I'm wondering if there's any other way, a way I can test at home, possibly, maybe? Lol

Metal vlave stems. All Nissan sensors use metal valve stems. If there is a rubber one there, then there isn't one.
