Maybe someone who actually powdercoats can elaborate, but from what I understand the amount of heat used to bake the powdercoat onto the wheel isn't enough to effect the structural integrity of the wheel. Those who have issues likely had powdercoaters who burned the original coating off the wheel with extremely high temps instead of media blasting the coating off. The heat used to bake off the finish is what effects the wheels strength. So just make sure your powdercoater uses another method to get the old finish off.
