Lug nuts - aftermarket to fit OEM Ray's Forged Sport package wheels

I have a 2014 Z with Sport package (19" Ray's Forged wheels). I'm looking to replace just the lug nuts with colored nuts. How do I do that? Do such

Default Lug nuts - aftermarket to fit OEM Ray's Forged Sport package wheels

I have a 2014 Z with Sport package (19" Ray's Forged wheels). I'm looking to replace just the lug nuts with colored nuts. How do I do that? Do such aftermarket nut exist with conical/washer? I don't care about weight or material, just a safe reliable lug nut for a Ray's 19 inch forged wheel that's red in color.

Gorilla has a black one OEM type.

But please do not say material doesn't matter. I don't know a car or driver that hasn't been almost killed by using aluminium nuts. Steel only!

I don't think we can actually put aftermarket lugs on our stock wheels bud. It's not safe. I'm sure some of the wheel gurus can chime in.

You CANNOT RUN ANYTHING BESIDES STOCK LUGS ON OEM WHEELS!!!

The other McGards and Gorilla lugs LOOK big enough, but the washer size isn't large enough and the base of the lug is too small regardless, it cannot apply enough pressure to the outside of the lug holes (this is why OEM lugs flare out)

Ok chrome then like mine. Same type of process. I cannot see PC working well. I've chipped wheels just looking at them. I've dropped my lugs and taken them on and off a million times and yet to see wear. PC still sits on top like a paint and doesn't adhere like chemical baths do. Just my 0.02.

Chroming and Anodizing? Not similar, but ok.

Yeah, if you drop PC'd lugs, that will chip them, but there's a solution, don't drop them, you wouldn't want to drop any show item

So if I use aftermarket lugs on stock wheels, I will have issues, but aftermarket lugs on aftermarket wheels, I won't have any issues?

I'm not going aluminum and there's too much at stake for me to be comfortable with the Gorillas for the sake of saving $50. I ordered a set of OEM lug nuts from Courtesy Parts. Getting them powder coated locally is easy. I hadn't thought of chrome plating, but I'm not sure that epoxy-over-chrome would be any more durable than powder coating.

**** happens. Wheels come on and off all the time. Its bound to happen at least once, might as well go for the best finish.

He asked, I showed him. I'm not doing the splitting. You mentioned a company is no good I showed you there's an option. It's no big deal, damn Andrew.

Hence why I asked you it won't work? You mentioned only OEM and no for gorilla. You said you had experience so I asked because you made it seem like you had these fall off and break your wheel. I wanted clarification and info possibly. But jump down my throat though for being curious.

Well if it makes you feel any better my gorilla's black chromed made it 52k on two WRX's and this new set on the Z's at like 7k with winters. Still black with many drops and kicks being laid on the garage floor when working and wheels are still on it.

Correct. To add, no OEM lugs on aftermarket wheels either unless the wheel is made like OEM. You just have to look at the wheel and lug to see if they go together. Most companies will tell you however if they use a acorn style or not.
