The shop where I go, tirerack, ravspec also told me that they wouldn't recommend going wider than 265. I just calculated inner clearance using offset calculator and it showed me only 2mm less clearance than stock. Even if you fit 285, I don't think it would rub strut but only inner well or fender because of the tire height.

If you want it to be super flush, I would say go for 25mm(+5 offset). Mine looks ok but it would've been much better if I had put 15mm.

Vancouver rains a lot so I wanted to get something that gives me a better grip when wet and good enough performance when dry. This tire really fits my criteria. And it's cheap! If you don't track your car, I don't see any point of paying extra money for re11 honestly.
