Yeah. What's confusing? If your doing 285 tires there's NO need to use a 10" or 10.5" wheel. There's NO need to go above a 9.5" when a 9.5" wheel will be perfect. Not only is there no need, you shouldn't.

Just wanna say, one thing everybody is forgetting here...stretchness of the tire is a function of both width AND sidewall height. 275/40 on a 10.5 wheel is less stretched than 275/35 on the same wheel.

Correct per spec or correct for being correct?

Every car is different. Spec is -2.2 to -1.2 rear but it will always be more rear from nissan which is retarded, like a 285 on a 10.5. Any book in the world. Ask one people on this forum if they think rear camber should be more than the front. You almost ALWAYS want -1 more in the front. For the track I plan on -3 front and -1.8 rear. For a good handling street car would be -2.5 to -2.0 front -1.5 rear.

i had to get new tires shortly after purchase so i had it alighned for sh1ts and giggles. and i never said anything about my front camber settings. i was strictly talking about the rear OEM i was within spec. (id hope so!) after a 1" drop im at front: -1.7 rear: -2 (no camber kit used) a 285 on a 10.5" rim isnt retarded...... Last edited by fuct; 01-13-2014 at 04:21 PM. |
