Yes my clear coat is starting to peel as well, annoying as hell. $100+ each to get them looking like new. Doubt the bumper to bumper would cover them either.

Probably gonna wait a little longer till after the new year and then get them all refinished.

For $100/wheel might as well powder coat them a different color, lol

OP: What are you using to clean your wheels?

On my old Z, the owner before was using that Amorall wheel cleaner, and I could see it peeling. Those are really harsh on wheel clear coats.

I don't use armor all wheel cleaner, but I know overspray from spraying the tires has hit them, could that be the cause?

i have these wheels on mine. the easiest thing for me to do is simply not wash them. theres so much, dirt, debris, mud, guts, and blood on my wheels, youd have no idea if the clear is peeling or not.

The only thing I could figure is I always use to us the same microfiber towel that I waxed my car with to wip the wheels real quick. Where did you take then for 100$ doesn't sound bad at look defiantly will refinish the same oem look if I can find a good rim shop. Do you know where I can take it I live in Chicago area. Also I celeb them with a clear coat safe aluminum rim cleaner , wish I would've done this earlier defiantly looks great, eagle has a great brand of wheel cleaners

Wheels America, there is one in Chicago I believe.
Don't know how good they are but a guy I was talking to at discount tires told me they would make them look good as new. He also said the would remove any damage. H told me I should have them masked and powder coat sections to give them a custom look. Don't think I will though I like them the way they are.

im not sure wat that is but i only use the same products i use on the body paint. never had an issue.

bascially i dont use wheel cleaners nor any special polishes for wheels. just car shampoo and polymer sealant or wax, QD.

check with your dealer if they have a contractor that comes in to fix wheels. also see if nissan can help you out with warranty costs.

I got one wheel that is peeling. Looks like arse. Not the clear, but the actual silver...

Ticks me off.... they were plastidipped black when got the car, I may go back to that, just to hide the unsightly peeling.

I've only had it 4 months. As I said, it was coated with black Plastidip when I bought it. A good bit of that is actually dirt, car was nasty dirty when I photo'd it today. Washed it off after I got out of the tire shop having my 305s put on the rear.

They're not in perfect shape by any means. I am thinking of going back with the Plastidip, doing a black with silver accents motif. Don't know of any places around here that will refinish or powdercoat, but I'd be willing to pay for it for sure.

We'll see...

Here is a picture of the same wheel after being cleaned off. Still... bad clearcoat and the silver peeling, but they aren't as gouged and pitted as they looked in that other pic.
