Called the shop today and told me they have to charge me $50 to remove the bolt and put the spacers on. What you guys think?

I think its time to go to a new shop. I wonder if anyone is local that could help you out because taking that bolt off is a 5 minute job.

I would tell them that I'll be there in 5 minutes to remove the bolt myself for free.

$50 is like 50 minutes of labor? I think, but regardless, it doesn't take that long to remove a single bolt.

He avoided the whole parts discussion. Just in case you guys want to know the shop is called monkey wrench it's on liberty ave in queens I would avoid going there for people local in ny.

it's one thing to make a honest mistake, but trying to cover it up or make up stories... that is unacceptable.
