I'm planning on running 255 40 18 fronts and 285 35 18 rears. If I stay with the stock 9" width for the front wheels, the 255 should still not be a problem, right? I cant decide b/t going up 1/2" to 9.5" or just staying at 9". Let me know what you guys think...
Well my friend!!! i dont have 18"wheels but basing on my wheels set up I have 19x9.5+12 front and 19x11+15 rear... love how it looks the car with those offset... and if im not wrong the same wheels that i have but in 18" comes with the same offset 18x9.5+12 and 18x10.5+15... looks flush and really good in my opinion....

BTW my rear tires are 285/35/19 and works with 0 issues...

I hope someday to buy some 18"

Thanks. Do you have pics of your car? I'm sure the wider tires would fit both front and rear. My question was should I got up to 9.5" in the fronts for the wheel width or stay with 9". Any advantages/ disadvantages? The one small disadvantage is that the 9.5 weighs half a lb. more per wheel than the 9". But there should be less sidewall flex under load for 9.5"? Cant decide...

Go 9.5+. I was and now I'm 10.5. I run a 285 and one day I'll even go bigger. I've got some 17.4lbs 9.5's if interested. The car can handle a lot up there so don't down play it only to be disappointed down the road. 255's to small, just run square in the tires and try to run square for the wheels.

They'll work but are extremely small. And 255/40, 285/35 are better.

Smallest front I'd run is a 275. Rear I'd prefer a 295.
