So I got Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's...
Front - 265/35/19 Rear - 285/35/19 Wheels: stock sport package Suspension: Swift, SPL rear camber and toe bolts, stock shocks. Issue: I noticed the car definatly has more bite in the front when cornering but in a strait line it is a bit unstable. In other words the slightest input given to change lanes and the car wants to fly into the next lane. I know this is because of the plus sized tire in the front and I can control it just fine but I wonder if adjusting the suspension would help cure this condition. Ultimately my goal is better handling all around with an emphasis on cornering. Just wondering if you all had suggestions??

sometimes you just need some time to get used to. maybe you are running too much psi. however lane changing wont teell you that much on how a car will handle at the limit. Ps2 tires have great steering response.
Also if the only thing you have changed to copare before is tires, then the tires it is. Again play around with psi and maybe aling some toe in to make the nose of the car more closed |

PSI is about 35 all around. I've used the shoe polish method during autocross and tire preasure is spot on or I'm not driving hard enough...one of the two. What do you mean by "...the nose of the car more closed"? Thanks for the help!

new front wheel sizing on my car, Same Enkei PF01, old size used to be 18x9.5 et15 on 275/35/18, now its 18x10.5 et28 on 285/35/18. Rear size is still the same at 18x10.5 et15 with a 295/35/18. Soon my next set of tires will be 285/35/18 all around in either Hankook RS3 or Nitto NT05
![]() ![]() here is the front inside clearance, 18x10.5 et28, i know 18x10.5 et30 still clears with a 285/35/18 but i think that's prolly the limit

These meaty setups look great
![]() One question I have for those in the know... Would the larger mass actually create less performance in a straight line acceleration? |
