Nice tires, I wish now I had spent the extra money on RE-11's. How do they feel vs. what you had? The softer side wall on the S-04's I bought is taking some getting use to.
I just have to say, with all due respect. She'd look soooooo much better with a set of springs or coil overs and some spacers. look at the difference...

The grip is insane on these. Ripped a ss Camaro earlier sounded like possible supercharger whine on it too.

These vs my pss's is that these will be bald very quickly but god damn that grip lol

305s are an amazing thing. I cant wait for my 325s

Ok I need some help... I have Sportline TE.6 wheels (dont hate on my chioce of wheel if so :gtfo2:) now that being said,

My wheels are 19x9.5 +22 (front)

I know I want 305/30/19 for the rear but cannot decide on the front??

should I go 265 or 275?? thoughts on this please?

Also will I need and spacers? I do not want to rub,

Thank in advance...:tiphat:

weldcraft wheels in michigan, best drag rim custom shop around
cost $240 per rim to cut and weld in any width band you want and the best part is they balanced out better, and had better run out than they did straight from rohana, also they give a structural warranty on the wheel for I believe 3 years garaunteeing their work.

Dang. 12.5 with 345s on the rear. I've always wanted a fat setup like that but I'm scared to lose performance. Does it feel heavy and sluggish when your accelerating?

What was the rear size and offset prior to you getting them widened?

original rear was 20x11 +10 added 1.5" to the back

and no not sluggish at all, there's no accel difference other than the fact that you can stand on the pedal right off the line and get traction MUCH faster, and with the wider fronts the turn in is twice as good as stock

I knew something wasn't right with your offsets. Your actual rear offsets are +29 and not +45. Here's how to calculate it:

Original wheels were 11" +10 offset. You widened them by 1.5" or 38.1mm. Now take that 38.1mm and divide it by 2 to get 19.05. You then add 19.05 to your +10 offset giving you a final offset of +29.

Hope that helps.

R.K.

i hope you mean the front.....

275 is oem rear sizes.

chknhawk 04-25-2014 06:45 AM

305.30 rear 275.35 front nismo rim (same on sport rims) although 295 and 265 flush the wheel completely and look boss.... No rub dropped on stance coils.

I tried a 295/30 and 265/35 setup and the front tires were too tall (88.5mm vs 92.5mm height).

i'm on 305/30 and 265/35 and they are identical 26.3 diameters

Taylortoons 04-25-2014 01:09 PM

You are measuring inches where I am comparing millimeters (more precise).

I scrapped the 265/35 tires and opted for 255/35 instead. The front tires are still slightly taller than the rear, but visually hard to discern.

IMO- the front 265/35 was visibly taller than the 295/30 rear. A difference I couldn't live with...

The 305/30 is 91.5 mm and the 265/35 is 92.75 mm with a difference of 1.25 mm.
The 295/30 is 88.5 mm and the 255/35 89.25 mm with a difference of .75 mm.

i have had 0 issues with 265s up front.

Taylortoons 04-25-2014 01:39 PM

I agree you shouldn't have any issues at all. For me, the difference in tire height is too much. I chose tires that look closer in height front to rear.

offsets then. i'm on stock sport rays with my 265/305 set-up

JaviZ 04-25-2014 03:11 PM

Hey guys, I know this may have been asked already but there's a ton of info here to sort through: Will I lose height going from 245/40 to 265/35 fronts and 285/35 to 305/30 rears?

most liekly. its tire specific to. go on tire rack and compare the overall diameters of the tires and sizes you are looking at

Taylortoons 04-25-2014 03:45 PM

The same calculation can be used for any tire. Multiply the tire width (245) by the profile (.40) to get the mm height.

EX. 245 x .40 = 98 mm, 265 x .35 = 92.75 mm

The answer is yes, you would lose height going from a 245/40 to a 265/35

The offset doesn't matter since you are calculating the width/height of the wheel/tire combo. The offset comes into play whenever you start thinking about how you want them to fit under your fenders and potentially clear BBKs.

JaviZ 04-25-2014 04:59 PM

Taylortoons, thank you!!

So if I don't want to lose height because I plan on keeping the stock Nismo suspension, can I go 265/40/19 front and 305/35/19 rear with spacers all around? Haven't seen a writeup on this size yet. Most common set up is 265/35 and 305/30 with some sort of drop.

265 x .40 = 106 mm, 8mm higher than stock in front. 305 x .35 = 106.75 mm, 7mm higher than stock in the rear. Just don't know if I'll have any rubbing issues.

Those are huge! Maybe there is a good reason no one is running that setup.
