I know but I get nervous since the sport wheels are 10" wide and the spec for the 305s are 10.5-11.5" |

With your setup, how is the tire wear with those SPL rear camber arms? I'm looking to go lower on Swift springs and I'll be running the same tires (S04s) and sizes as well (265s & 305s). Spacers too, probably F-20mm, R-25mm. I was just researching camber kits... SPC vs. SPL.[/QUOTE]
I can't comment on tire wear yet...265/35 & 305/30 S-04's go on tomorrow. I'm running Swifts with 15mm/20mm spacers. I put an AMS front and rear camber kit on today. Everything fit perfect, nice kit for the money. Came with A arms, camber arms, & traction arms. The main reason I went AMS is the front camber can't slip. Can't wait to get back in alignment and put the meats on. I'll post a pic after... |
I havent experienced too much tire wear. Im at -2.4 degrees because im on stock toe bolts and i cant get toe to were i want it if i go more positive on the camber. I also do check my alignment very often because im a tech and have access to the rack after work. With that said the bridgestones i had on my sport wheels have 10,000 miles on them and id say 6000 of those were with the springs already installed and they looked fine.

Concave vs lip; which looks better with wide tires?

Easier to clear bigger brakes on a concave setup and easier to clean than a big lipped wheel but not everyone likes the look |

I have rays 19x9.5 +35 and 19x10.5 +25 with michelin p265/35r19 on the front and p305/30r19 on the rear. Fit with no problems. No rubbing at all. The michelins are amazing.

With the 305's I'm considering going down to 15mm in the back. There's a slight poke with the 20mm. I'll decide after I go get some neg. camber put back in. I recently put camber kits on to get back to spec. alignment. My car feels a lot less crisp turning with spec. settings. I must have gotten use to all the neg. camber when out of spec. Hope this helps a little. |

Hey just trying to plan out my suspension stuff and wanting to ask a couple meat related questions before I buy anything else. I want 275/35r19s front on my nismo wheels, want to run 2.5 degrees camber up front, and eventually an .5-1" drop on V3's. From what I've read here it should fit fine, but I wan't to know if i can throw spacers at it too and how big. Shitty socal roads should be taken into consideration. Rears will be either 285 or 305 no spacers .5-1deg camber with a .5-1" drop undecided on size but not really worried about those.
|
I'm dropped on Fortune 500 and I need front toe bars and I'm at -2.1lft and -2.3rt up front with 265s. You shouldn't have to worry to much. You gonna scrape, that is just part of the game!
|
Thank you for the response first of all, but what is a front toe bar? i though the front was double a-arm? and what do you mean scrape? like the wheel scraping the fender liner? or just the car scraping the ground over bumps? or hitting a bump and rubbing on the fender? Could you uncompress your response a little, I'm having a hard time figure out what you mean. Your dropped on Fortune 500 coilovers but how much of a drop, by front toe bars did you mean adjustable upper control arms, -2.1 and -2.3 is your camber right?

No worries and sorry for the jacked up response! Okay, I meant that I need front camber arms as stated above. And yes, those are my current camber settings. You may not have as much of an issue scraping as stated because the Nismo nose is longer than the standard body kit. There is absolutely no rubbing from side to side. I would, as suggested add spacers. I have 15mm all around. If I were to do it again I would go with 20s up front.
NORAIN, thank for the translation as you are right on the money. Also, I am dropped 1 inch lower than you stated...so again NORAIN was right on the money. One last thing, I would get a Zspeed undertray. I wore a hole through the OEM tray from scraping on driveways and speed bumps. |
