Wheel Spacers 101

Spacers alone won't change your camber settings the way you describe. You may have had a loose bolt on the camber arm and it was bumped during the install process.

problem with pushing out the stockers is that it's too narrow. looks like a crab walking around.

Just ordered Z1 20mm all around. Hopefully I made the right choice going with 20 on the rear. My tires are currently 275 but I have plans of getting 305 for the rear eventually depending on whether or not I upgrade to new wheels.

Currently have Swift rear springs for an approx 1" drop and SPC rear camber kit with toe bolts in the back. Front is stock.

Running 255s on front and 305s on the rear. I am thinking I'm going to go the 20/25 route, probably from B2. I'll toss some pics up when I get 'em on, but it'll be a while... lots of other expenditures this month. <sigh>

Has anyone tried 25mm all around and have pics? I'm lowered on h&r sport springs so I'm guessing the negative camber up front will help it sit flush rather than poke

Ok I have some Ichiba 20mm stud replacement spacers. Problem is finding studs to fit. Factory studs are 42mm, Ichiba sell 50mm extended studs. Im not the best at math but I dont trust those to be enough thread. Anyone use the 20mm with factory wheels and 50mm studs? Simple math says 62mm but thats a no go on any site. The only option I see are the 3" $6 a piece ones and thats just insane...

I've been thinking about going 20mm all around. Hub Centric in my case. Hopefully I don't rub.

I have swift springs on 20inch wheels. Anybody got these particular setup with 20 mm all around?

Just an FYI for those with spacers, Discount/America's Tire will no longer work on your car with spacers (unless they're bolted onto the wheels), because they cannot guarantee proper torque when putting the wheel back on.

You have to remove the wheel yourself at home and take it in.

Frustrating...

I read this entire thread, and purchased 20mm Z1 spacers (front and rear) for my 09 370z and installed them last night.

It would have been helpful, if someone would have mentioned in 15 pages that you need a 12mm for the bolt on the front wheels. :P

Would it be safe to assume that someone doing this would already have a 12mm?

No, it wouldn't. I took my 21mm thin wall socket and torque wrench to meet a friend who had slim jack I needed. I did not bring an entire tool box or socket set.

There is no mention in 15 pages of "yeah the bolt on the front wheel assembly is a bolt holding a sleeve against it, and it comes right off with a 12mm". No one even mentions anything about it other than a bolt being there. lol very bizarre.

Fairly standard with parts etc to have a "tools needed" even included in the product description. Such as the post MAF tubes.

Oh well, FYI to future wheel spacer buyers..the bolts on the fronts screw a sleeve against the assembly, the bolt is a 12mm and the sleeve falls right off after the bolt is removed. No need to remove a rotor or anything else.
