By convention, directions on a car are given from the driver's POV. So, yes, left = driver's side and R = passenger's side (for US cars). Front = where the headlights are and rear = where the taillights are.

considing driving on low psi can damage the sidewalls, i too would just let my local tire shop reset it.

hey this worked for me on my 2010 nismo. what i did was insert a copper wire into the connector, turn car to on, tap wire onto a ground 6 times then waited. tpms light blinked for a solid 5min (wanted to be sure it was in learning mode). then clutch in, start car and lowered the tire psi to just about the listed psi in the OP. drove around for about 8 min and off the light went. filled the tires back up and took it for a drive. all seems good!

took about 25min to do the entire thing and while i wouldve probably paid a shop to do it, i was bored as **** today haha

I hate to revive this from the dead, but did anybody find the location for the TPMS plug on the 2011?

Surprisingly enough, I was able to find it on my friends 2012 G sedan quite easily. Not having much luck on my 2011 though.

It's near the OBD/CAN port next to the steering wheel column. May be taped up. See FSM for details.

Not having any luck getting my 2009 to go into programming mode. After installing my new wheels with new TPMS the tire light started flashing. Everytime I start the car the light will flash for about 30-45 seconds and then it stays on. I have tried the grounding before turn on and through turn off and then it goes in to a diagnostic mode. I'll give it a couple of more tries and then I'm done. I'll pay someone to program the new sensors, its just not worth doing while it is +100 outside.

I'm still having trouble with step 4. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the last click before the engine starts.

did you get the correct tpms? 2009 - 2010 has different ones than the other years.

Yes, the correct year sensors are installed. The problem was the car would not go into programming mode. I could get it in to diagnostic mode but not programming. The sensors are not even in play at that point as they don't transmit a signal until the wheel is rolling at 25mph.

Today I went by the dealer and had them program them for me. They didn't charge all that much compared to the hours that I have been try to get the car to go into programming mode. It wound up being worth the price just to see the reaction to my Z. When I pulled into the service bay a bunch of the mechanics came out to see what was making all of the noise. They were drooling over my Z with the new AG M590 wheels with RE-11s 265F 305R. When I opened the hood and they saw the supercharger they went ballistic. If was fun answering all of the questions. So all in all it was well worth the $50.
