It should not be the same issue, I have friends that ordered Work wheels from other vendors and they did get their wheels in 2-3 months. This sounds specifically like a VIP Status issue.

I too have friends that have gotten their work wheels in a timely manner. I know stuff is shipping from Japan and yeah their a custom wheel but it's not like their hand carving them. All this stuff is done by precesion computers. It's 100% a VIP issue. I have bought everything from engine fluids to a twin turbo kit on this forum and never had an issue. On my invoice I have from VIP there is no order number in the spot designated which leads me to believe they weren't ordered when he said they were. My twin turbo kit was ordered through Vivid Racing and I paid lay away on it. When they sent me my invoice it still had an order number even though I hadn't fully paid the kit off.

WoW! I haven't logged on here for a few days cause we're moving to a new shop. And then this thread...Those who have been able to reach me in the moments I've been available, I have told them I'm moving and am a bit short handed.... I apologize for that.
Well first of all, for the group of people that are waiting for wheels, most of these wheels are coming out from Japan. Many of the wheels that are done are already inbound from Japan. From my correspondences, the wheels should be due to arrive near the end of June. Long story short, when Work Wheels were building some of our wheels(Private Label), we were promised exclusivity in the Americas for certain models in their line. But as the line started to move move, we have noticed that many of our wheels were brought in without our knowledge through improper channels. Due to these issues, Venaci Japan has decided to use a different manufacture to build the new wheels. This allows more flexibility to bring the wheels in a 3pc and 1pc forged construction at a very competitive price. Quality is still of the utmost importance and will not be compromised. This new shift will also allow for faster build times so these delays will no longer be an issue. In addition we will also be able to offer more customized finishes. There are already current back-orders that are being built with the construction and have already been delivered. i.e. Nitrous already received his set with the new 3pc construction. I sincerely apologize for those that have been waiting so patiently. I know it may sound redundant, but it is on the way. |

So it seems Venaci has become a knock-off company? Great. I think I'll be ordering Work centercaps for my old Venaci Mesh wheels (made by Work)

This may be the most important question asked in this thread. I asked the exact same thing a couple of pages ago. I always thought that Venaci's were just re-badged Work wheels. As such, I knew I'd be getting a high quality wheel of known specifications. Rick assembles the wheels himself from parts. Mark from RavSpec says that Work won't release a wheel not assembled. So we've established these aren't made by Work at all.
So Rick, answer this. Are they the real, forged, quality pieces or just replicas from a unknown supplier of substandard quality? How do I know what I'm really getting and where's the QC assurance? Are they being assembled by a qualified certified technician or a kid in the back of your shop? What specifications do they meet and how can it be proved? Make me feel good about what I'm buying at least, even though the purchase process kind of sucks. I'm not going to put junk on my car, not something as important as wheels. |

Rick stated earlier in the thread that they were sold to his "Venaci" company by Work as a private label deal. And that Work was not supposed to have released those finishes/styles under the Work brand.. Whether or not this is true we'll never know. In the end though they were still manufactured by Work, which is why I'm sure several members bought them (myself included, even though I bought them used.) Now it seems that they have a new manufacturer, here in the states, but seem to be copying the original Work Gnosis designs.. Pretty shady in my opinion. Sorry to butt in to your guys thread about trying to get your wheels, but its worth talking about.
