Default Tire question about sidewall height in relation to ride height...

I used to have a website with a tire size calculator that would go as far in depth as telling you how much the new tire would raise or lower your vehicle; as well as all the other normal goodies a tire size calculator would give you... I can not find it anymore.

My question now is:
With me in need of replacing my front tires (I used my buddies used 255/40/19 front hankooks that he gave me to pair with my 305/30/19 hankooks in the rear and they are done way sooner than I thought they would be ).

I really don't like these Hankook Ventus Evo V12's at all and don't plan to ever use them again after this set is gone so I want to get the cheapest hankook I can for the front now, which is 255/35/19 or my current size 255/40/19. But IMO my front side wall of 40 is too tall and its noticeably bigger than my rear and it bugs me...

The height of the 255/35/19 is 1 inch smaller (.5 on either side) or 3.7% percent difference compared to my current front size of 255/40...

I am not worried about vdc but I am worried about what this is going to do to my ride height appearance.. will the car drop lower with the smaller diameter tire or will it appear higher ? Thats my main question...

275/35/19 would be the most ideal size but Nitto invos in 275/35/19 are basically the same price as the hankooks that I'm really not satisfied with at all. I hate hankooks in comparison to my old NT05's and they don't make the NT05s wider than 275 so I figured my next choice would be the invo's... Re11's would be ideal but out of my budget at the momment. I would hate to spend 450 on two hankooks when i can get the Invos for 10 dollars more each tire. The 255/35s are 190 ... Cheap enough to make me consider keeping the hankooks.

If my car didn't ride right after the invos were on with the Hankooks, I would just get rears as well to match but than thats $$ and I'm guessing that would be the outcome... If it did, hurray for me and I'd be counting the days until the rear hankooks are done. I'd rather have a full matching set of tires though along with a fatter pocket but I don't want to go with the 40 profile again so if the 35 profile with the 1" shorter sidewall will make my fender gap noticably bigger, I may be forced to go with the 275s. Than I'd opt against the hankooks which will prob lead to me replacing the whole set as I do not believe mis matching tires is a good idea and from my experience may cause the car to drive poorly. I just dont want the hankooks but am stuck as I have brand new rear 305s so as long as the 255/35's wont really mess with the fender gap appearence ill stick with them for now.

Any help with letting me know what the 35 profile would do to my ride height / fender gap is appreciated!!!! Thank You Sorry if I gave anyone a headache following this!

Actually, the 255/35/19's will better match the current rears (305/30/19) that you have right now, and are in spec with OEM diameters...see below.

OEM sport:
245/40/19 = 26.7"
275/35/19 = 26.6"

Your current:
255/40/19 = 27.1
305/30/19 = 26.3

Possible purchase:
255/35/19 = 26"

Compared to your current front set up, you'll have 0.5" more wheel well gap and the front will sit roughly 0.5" lower because of the difference in diameter...but front and rear diameters are better matched.
