To answer both of you, yes i have NO desire to drop the ride height what so ever, so that definitely won't change. Dj, i am looking to go slightly/moderate

Dj, i am looking to go slightly/moderate aggressive.

Slightly adjusted:

Forgestar F14:

19x9 +30 for the front
19x11 +24 for the back

Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110:
--------------
255/35ZR19 for the front
305/30ZR19 for the back

Muteki SR35 Lug Nuts (black/closed)
Move TPMS over to the Forgestars.


nismofo did you have any issues moving over the TMPS? Also, what lugs do you have?

I think I have finally decided on mine, and it looks like Forgestar finally has added a 19x9.5 size:

This is what I just ordered in Bronze Burst:

19x9.5 offset 30 with 275/35/19 Hankook
19x11 offset 23 with 305/30/19 Hankook

I think with this setup it will make the wheels more flush, but won't stick out of fender, or have any potential rub issues with full suspension compression during aggressive driving. I also chose this offset since most Z buyers are getting the fronts 19x9 24 - this is equivalent to 19x9.5 30. I wanted 34 for the front, but Forgestar says it won't clear the brakes.

I went with Eric at Getyourwheels.com, gave the best price.

Anybody got thoughts on this?

Definately give him a call, I always found that quotes online/email were ok, but once you talked to them, you got the best price. I think they just started carrying the wheels - either way give him a call, nice crew there.

If i change out my 9 for a 9.5 should I keep the +32 for a NON DROP?

Funds are coming in, so I am hoping to order sometime next week!!!!!

+32 is like adding a 21mm spacer to the oem wheels. It might be too much at stock height. What I have seen is that 15mm is what most are putting on the front - some have 20mm.

Not to be a pest, as I know this is getting old... quick... so going with the 9.5 up front, and going for a *safer* fit, maybe +36 or +38? They max at +42

Hoping to call in another quote or two monday, and either order them late monday or early tuesday. So hopefully i'll have pix in 4-8 weeks

Yes for a STOCK height car that is going to be too much. What I have seen from your specs so far is that you are pushing the wheels farther out than a Nismo 370z and putting smaller diameter tires on. This is going to make the car look 4x4 because of how the gap will look and how easily the sun will hit the top edge of the tires. You might be able to see nearly 1/3 of the top of your tire tread standing next to the car whereas right now you see almost zero.

My thoughts for a stock height car without making it look funny (taller) or handle funny. Start with the nismo 370z specs. For a stock height car the nismo has good offsets and widths of 19x9.5 +40 and 19x10.5 +23 on 245/40 & 285/35. I think this should be your target "look" for the car. Once you start pushing the wheels out or making the tires smaller with 255/35 and 305/30 you will start wondering if you should lower it.

So with forgestar 9.5" and 11" the only thing you'd be changing is the rear width by an additional 0.5" (13mm). So just take that extra 0.5" and move it to the inside of the rear wheels. +29 rear offset on a 11" forgestar would give you a near identical look to a nismo on the outside.

Then there is the tire choice you have for stock height; I still think this is too small. Again, start with the nismo tires sizes and adjust from there, but try not to makes the tires any smaller. You're adding 0.5" wider wheels than a nismo so maybe go from a 285/35 to 295/35.

So my suggestion for stock non-4x4 looking specs on forgestar f14 would be:
19x9.5 +40 245/40R19
19x11 +29 295/35R19 (not a lot of tires choices here...BFG is one)

These are just my thoughts....its not right/wrong. If you want a more aggressive offset than a stock 370z nismo then I would start with the offsets I mentioned (+40 & +29) and subtract from those EQUALLY for the front and rear. If you want 5mm more aggressive than go with +35 front and +24 rear. Just know that the more you push them out the more the car will beg to be lowered.

I hope this helps. If you have a stock 370z you can see in person for reference that would be a huge help. Decide if you like the look. I'm not 100% sure if the suspension height is identical as a regular 370z though. I think the front is higher for bumper clearance. I know for a fact that the stock 350z nismo was taller than a stock 350z.

I just realized I was off in my calculation above! I just adjusted the rear offset......please see above for my revised rear offset spec above. Sorry I wrote all of that on my cell phone.

There are tons of variables. The width, offset, ride height, camber, tire size, tire brand and style of wheel all completely change the look.

Another thought is that these are flat faced wheels with no lip. Generally the best look for a flat faced wheel is flush to the outsides and on a car with little gap. The nismo wheels are not flat faced.

If you were lowering the car, I have completely different opinions on these specs. But I'm listening to what you want, and I'm still trying to help based on your input.

I can link you to some 370Zs (stock height) with semi-aggressive specs and the smaller 255/35 & 305/30 sizes. What you'll find is 10 pages of people saying "lower that car"....lol. You'll hear that regardless, but even more so with smaller tires and the wheels pushed out to the fenders.

When most people with Nismo wheels lower their car they add 10 or 15mm spacers (and smaller/wider tires) because the camber/gap changes everything. The negative camber makes the biggest difference and really sucks the top of the wheels in front/rear (unless you run a front camber kit).

If you were to lower the car, then I would easily suggest another 10 or 15mm lower offset (plus Forgestar doesn't sell any truly aggressive offsets for us). But I have not heard that, so I won't suggest that at all. 5mm farther out than a stock 370Z Nismo would be the most I'd suggest stock height.

I don't think this is a bad look at all with what you're wanting. I "think" there is plenty clearance on the backside for this to clear the rear shocks as well for another 13mm. I would suggest an alignment for sure.

If you have the sports package brakes, I think with the 9.5, the least aggressive Forgestar will go is 30 (so it fits the brakes). I actually wanted 34, but had to go with the more aggressive 30 so they fit. Might want to confirm with Forgestar, but check with them.

Excellent point. I just checked my front 19x9" +24 Forgestars to my Sport brakes and at the lowest point, there is about 16mm of gap between the back of the spoke and the caliper. At 16mm, the spokes would be "on" the caliper...literally. All you really need is maybe 2mm of clearance.

I'm not 100% sure, but fairly certain a 19x9 and 19x9.5 Forgestar have the same spokes as far as concave goes. I think they just add or remove from the backside of the wheel (hub) which is why lower offset wheels can easily be heavier.

Here are some specs comparing my fronts to the ones I suggested to rarwz. Looks like the +40 on a 9.5" push the outside of the wheel 9.5mm farther in. So if the spokes are exactly the same between 9" & 9.5", I think that would leave about 6.5mm (or maybe 1 or 2mm less) of gap between the spokes and the calipers.

19x9" +24
