I'm just lowered on Stance GR+ coils, with the spc rear camber kit, and the spl front upper control arms. There are no rubbing issues or issues turning full radius.

Not flush, but i'll never run spacers again after using them on the base 18's. So much more grip than stock Yoko's, not much louder either.

This is the wheel setup that should be everyone's baseline to work off of

cupcakez 05-08-2018 06:25 PM

I have a:
370z || Base Model || 7AT || 2015 Vehicle

OEM Tires and Rims

I am thinking about changing out the tires for better ones, but I could care less about the rims.

Would someone be able to help me confirm or not if:
305/35/19 sized tires would replace the two rear tires, and if I could still use the OEM rims on these or no?

Please and thank you!

What is your front tire size? The 305/35-19 tire is about 27.4" tall.

only thing better would be to get the camber and ride height compared to stock.

Base wheels are 18" in diameter, so 19" won't fit. ;)

And, 305/35 is too wide for base 9" rear rim.

Darn it.
So I would need to change BOTH the rims and tires then...

Ugh.
Okay thank you.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Are you wanting to run a drag radial as a 305/35/18 will work on the rear a stock height. You probably need 10" rim width. Most run a 19" wheel up front to get a tire height that is close to the rear.

cupcakez 05-09-2018 02:00 PM

Okay. You are right. I can go 10.5" to 11.5" rim width for the 305 35 19 tires in the rear :D

KW v3 set to factory dampening setting
SPC front and rear camber kit
Two finger gap; will drop another 1/4-1/2" once springs settle
Alignment is more or less within spec; could use minor castor adjustment
No fender mod, no rubbing (even at high speed over moderate bump)
Front pokes a tad more than back but still more or less flush
Front tire has a very minimal stretch, while back is fully square
Would not go any lower; this setup has the ideal look/functionality balance

Fenders still stock. I get some rubbing up front on incline roads when wheel is angled into a turn. Rolling the front fenders, NOT pulling, would fix the issue.

Cant put my pinky between the tire and fender of the front or the back

This is a classic and comfortable fit for a daily. Very happy with the offsets. Inconspicuous and fairly flush. Cheap tyres due to the common sizes.

11) Flush fit, almost perfect. Will review the tyre sizes once I install coilovers.

The wheels was for a friend for track, I tested the fitment on my car (just one side) so the alignment setup were from my original setup.

Desert Rat 11-13-2018 03:31 PM

Can Tire Rack be trusted? I'm looking at a set of 20" wheels...they suggest a 285/30/20 for the back. That's a full inch wider than the stockers I have on 18s now. They say they'll fit my car. What says the experts? I don't want tire rub. Suspension is stock and will likely stay that way.

Fronts:

Size: 20x9
Offset: 20mm
245/35/20 tire

Rears:

Size: 20x10.5
Offset: 25mm
285/30/20 tire

OptionZero 11-13-2018 04:37 PM

Tire Rack's is flaming hot garbage that is super duper conservative. Their whole system is stupid, you can't browse by specific size and spec

The nismo runs 19x10.5 +23 with a 285/35/19. Your rears are essentially the same damn thing. Should be fine.

Hell, people use the 19x10.5 +12 fitment with 305 in the back without problems

Fronts will stick out about 14mm further than stock nismo (19x9.5 +40 with 245/40/19)

This MIGHT pose an issue.

Any alignment changes needed? And on the fronts, is the fender lip where my concern would be?

OptionZero 11-14-2018 06:48 PM

370Z front alignment is not adjustable. You need the SPL Front Upper Control Arms, which are caster/camber adjustable.

Fender rolling isn't that hard, its like $40 a corner from a pro shop.

Rears . . . like i said, STOCK NISMO uses that same size

thanks for the replies

I used to run a 9.5 Et 15 and with stock camber it was poking, with -2.5 it was exactly flush. For reference they were wrapped in r888r 275/35/18. Just to let you know you would have to get really aggressive in the rear so it doesn’t look reverse staggered

Yes, you will have problems. You will not be able to make it flush without suspension mods to set the alignment up. With that offset at stock ride height you will be Mexi-flush.

So now, do you understand this.

Will I have rubbing issues with running a 19x9.5 +15 with a 245/40 or 245/35 tire up front dropped on coils with stock camber?

OptionZero 12-24-2018 12:47 AM

i think so
SPL FUCAs are in your future
and you might as well do the rear at the same time and do one alignment
