yes, that would be possible, but tricky. the masking tape would have to be pulled right before the powder started to totally melt, but while it was melted enough to stick to the wheel still. Otherwise, you would get rough edges. I think it would probably be easier and more efficient to handcut vinyl letters after the coating. hmm, might try that on mine.
