powdercoat or paint?
If my wheels don't sell very soon.... I'm looking into either powder coating them black or painting them flat black. Which do you guys think is the best way? I want something that will last and not get scratched up easily. What would look best?!

unless you're going to remove the tires any time soon, i would just mask off the tires and paint it matte black.
in fact i recommend not using the duplicolor wheel paint and use their engine enamel matte black instead. thing is SUPER STRONG... for example, i painted these fog lamp surround pieces on my dd 3yrs ago. these are plastic bits. to this day even through 3 harsh winters with road salt, etc. there is absolutely zero chips in the paint.

^^ thanks for that! Thats the information Im looking for. Thinking more about flat black with medium grey pinstripe and inner lip. I think itll look sharp

well, if you do spray paint them, satin or flat can both me easily touched up just with a little more spray. Unlike gloss, it will blend right in.

no gloss, matte is much easier to touch up per what Mike said and what ive also experienced in the past.
matte is easy to paint too. just keep a constant 8-10inch distance avoid any close range sprays and it will turn out a nice matte finish. i also recommend going this on a warm day 70F+ and use 3 cans in rotation. reason being, rattle cans tend to loose pressure while you spray. as soon as the can starts to feel cold, change cans because the pressure is getting lower... otherwise you end up with a spitting/dripping mess. dont ask how i know...

Like Ken said, if you are going to paint them yourself, stay away from gloss.
If you are going to powdercoat them, any finish will be equal.
