Avoid the RE050. It was the original tire on my G and I found them hard and rather slippery. Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position has significantly better grip, better ride and less noise.

Yup you can 325 and 285... it will ride better on the streets but I'm not sure about what it would be like under boost.

I just want some damn grip under boost and not to be sideways like I am now on my crappy Hancooks. I would assume wider is better but then again Im no tire expert

Lol RE -11'S will make a big difference for sure. If you can up grade your rear differential and you will see improved traction and drivablity.

Just got mine installed yesterday. No wheel spin when the turbo kicks in! Plus these tires look so damn aggressive!

You also have significantly less sidewall than previously. The reason you feel a reduction in steering feel is because you increased the difference in size between the rear width and front width (bad for keeping neutral and understeers a lot more) and you're putting more weight on the front tires because you slightly shifted your center of balance (by about 2 degrees raked, so around an extra 33 pounds on top of each wheel). You also changed the stock aerodynamic properties of the vehicle with it being raked forward slightly and if you live anywhere with a lot of crosswind you'll notice it more.

Point is, the sidewall isn't softer than oem, but the compound is and now you're slightly raked, so what you're feeling is a small difference in balance.

99.9% of people would never notice this, so good on you for knowing your car well enough

So would running a 265/285 or a 285/305 set up be best to keep steering feel? Im very sensitive to changes in handling and it annoys me, lol. Granted I wont be changing anytime soon, but I do like to plan ahead.

P.S. currently on stock sport wheels. May eventually go up to 9.5/10.5.

Default Re-11 wow!

New wheels and tires from GetYourWheels.com. Great experience working with Jason and his crew. Absolutely perfect fit and offsets (25mm front and 18mm rear)!

You be the judge........

Tires, the king of the street, RE-11 265/35/19F and 305/30/19R from Tire Rack. Killer combo!

A little more road noise than my S-04 tires but a LOT more grip! Ride quality didn't change that much but turn in has greatly improved.

~450rwhp and lots of FUN!

UPDATE: One of my front tires turned out to have a problem. I took my car back to the installer today to have them check the balance and after 3 1/2 ounces of weight it still isn't right. I called Tire Rack and they are sending me a new one. Tire Rack is awesome! They are paying shipping both ways and reimbursing the install and balance.

Can't say how long they last, I've only had mine for about 1500 miles or so, but they stick pretty well dry or wet. I'm running 265/285 on stock Sport wheels. I've run a couple of autocross events, and I'll be taking it to the track in a couple of weeks. So far I'm pretty happy with them.

Is it OK to put 265's Front and 305's Rear on the 19" Rays sports rims or do I need to buy wider rims?
