PSS's tread width is 12.1" and the S-04 is only 10.5"

does that matter for mounting and fitment?

That's what I have on mine.
I had pss for 2 weeks as a trial off of Craigslist. I wound up going with Potenza S04's which were a hair wider than PSS http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/10/pa5ygeru.jpg

everything i read spec wise shows the PSS's are like 1.5" wider than the S-04s? not sure if it matter for fitment at all but thats why i'm asking.

so was the fitment ok on 305 PSS's?

RoadsterST 04-09-2014 02:58 PM

It's not going to matter.

No rub, and I'm using 15mm spacers in the rear.
Was smoking the last bit of the tire in the parking lot of the tire shop. That was part of his yellow arrow he had just painted. Lol

I normally drive above the posted speed limit, by a lot, so I don't like to chance tires.

Hi,
I'm planning on getting Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires, can someone suggest a size for me? I have the 19" Rays.

I'd also leaning toward adding 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the back.

Thank you

Thank you for getting back to me. That seems to be the consensus on here after I researched a bit more.

I saw your picture of your rear tire, do you have a spacer installed on that?

FPenvy 04-11-2014 08:02 AM

so i'm gonna rephrase my original question.

do 265/305 combo in michelin PSS's work on sport rays with stock suspension and no spacers.

seems like everyone but me is running spacers.
