Spacer Fitment
I have spent a great deal of time looking for this answer on the Forum. Please be kind as I am such a newbie and have exhausted my patience with the search function.
I have a 2014 Roadster with sports package with stock 19 inch Rays. I want to fill in the wheel wells a bit more so I am planning on 20mm spacers all around. My concern is the lug bolts - will I be able to use the stock bolts with the spacers or will I have to buy longer bolts? I am looking at HR spacers. And finally, are the spacers simple to install? I am also an amateur at mechanics and an old fart. That's it - I hope some one can advise me. Thanks. |
You will need longer studs. Stock ones are not long enough and will leave you with not enough thread (unsafe). Putting on spacers is easy enough, changing out the bolts is somewhat harder.

Ok...here I go (noob time)..sorry
19x9 ET45 19x10 ET48 Current tires on all four are 215/35/19 (need to be replaced). Can you also recommend tire size. I think I would prefer a wider set. Thanks |

The OEM 19" are: 19x9 +47 19x10 +30 The fronts will sit in a similar fashion as stock, but the rears will be an additional 18mm sunken in then stock. As for tires, stock sizes for 19x9 / 19x10 are 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. |

How's the performance? Is it tough with the wheel? And does that give you flush fitment? Sorry for all this questions lol

the tires sit very nice on the wheel. no bulge, bind, or anything wrong. looks beautiful like that's what it should have had from factory. performance is great. the grip is tremendous and after having PSS's prior I didn't think it could get better but the RE11's are just amazing. now my PSS's were OEM 245/275 so maybe I will try them in the 265/305 setup this spring. but honestly I loved the RE11's in this sizing so much i'll buy the same again I think. |
