Default Firestone firehawk indy 500

Just a heads up for those that dont know already, bridgestone/firestone just came out with a new tire a few months back called the indy 500, not to be confused with the wide oval indy 500. Also just an interesting fact from a friend of mine, these tires are really just a bridgestone re-003 rebranded as a firestone and the price to match. I picked mine up from tirerack and had them installed for just slightly over $800 just to give you an idea of how good of a price these tires are going for right now

Damn... after doing a little reading, these seem legit. The price is incredible... might have to seriously consider these when the time comes.

thx for the tip!

These replaces RE760 in the rest of the world.

New Firestone Tire (looks like RE11 in many ways)

They also replace the re760 here, but are known as the the bridgestone re-003 in places like japan and australia where they have received very positive reviews

Edit: just saw your post in other group, sorry for the repost of information you already know

^ I made that distinction because RE760 is still concurrently available in US, it's not a knock on this tire.

Also, not sure why other people still have a stigma over the firestone brand....these days a lot of their product lineup is just rebadged bridgestone product. I know one thing for sure, these tires for the price stick really well to the pavement especially when they warm up

I think tirerack might be getting close to selling out of the re760, when i went to buy the indy 500's a couple weeks ago they had them listed at less then 4 in stock for the stock sport rays on the rears

^ cool. The funny thing was TireRack actually had these new Firehawks listed before the Firestone Autocare's site. Wife's G needs new shoes soon, I think these are my choice as well.

For the G sedan size 225/50/18 and 245/45/18, these are 3-4 pounds lighter per tire than RE760 and S04, nice little reduction in rotational mass

For 18's i think you can safely knock $100 off the price i paid for 19's with the installation

Think I'm going to try a set of these. With the current discount, I can get them for my sport / touring for right at $700 installed @ a Firestone Center.
