People Running 09 stock Rays

Ok, I understand the 285 x 4, I'm just unfamiliar with people running 285/305 on the street.

On a stock Z, that's a lot of added weight & drag.

I agree, maybe a tad bigger on rear but the stock fronts are plenty wide, extra weight, PS issues

I run 265/305

265 tires weigh the exact same as 245

the 305 tire is only 3lbs heavier than the 275. so you only gain 6lbs total at the rear axle.

reallllllllllllllly small gain to make you not want more grip.

I can make a chipotle stop and take a mean dump to lose a few lbs to counter the tire weight

Aesthetically the wider tires, especially in the rear, look very good.

If you are leaving your fronts with factory dimensions and 245 width, then I would leave the rears with the same ratio to the front, and go with a 275 in the rear.

If you're willing to increase the front width, then go wider in the rear.

Anyone who thinks 245 fronts are enough, go run your car, Really run the car and then try wider. Trust me, 265 minimum fronts handle incredibly, 285 to me is even better

I need new tires on the front soon. Can I run one of these wider sets without switching the rears at the same time?

Technically yes you can. Would I? No.

Best thing to do is to replace all 4 tires at the same time. Mix matching fronts and rears you may run into different compounds, different wear, different diameters, etc

Also you should want to keep the oem 30-40mm width gap between the front and rears. If it's just a small window of time between getting your fronts then tears you should be fine

Anybody see an issue with running 275 35 F and 305 30 R? I have eibach springs if that should affect anything? I've never gone this big before so a little worried about performance.

I see everybody saying 265 with 305 and I asked about 275 and 305 bc someone is selling them on the forum and I'm just curious what issues I would run into. Has Anybody stayed 245 with 305? Probably no by why not?

do not go 245/305. that gap is way to much the car will handle like shit.

275/305 I know a few who do that and like it.

I do 265 because I think 275 one sport rays is pushing it......then again do is 305 on the rears but oh well lol
