outside wear

I got a 2014 touring with the sport package a month ago with only 5k miles.
It came with Swift springs and 20/25mm(f/r) wheel spacers. I don't know if an alignment was done after the Swift springs were installed. I have noticed all four tires have more OUTSIDE wears. More in the rear than in the front. The strange things is all four corners looked to have negative camber. Anyone has this issues at all? I remembered seeing a post where someone else has this same issue.

I am planning to just wear out the current stock tires and get an alignment once I purchase new tires.

So used, guy may have swapped the tires side to side before you got it. I normally swap mine side to side at least once every summer...

I am not so sure that was the reason for the outside tire wear. As both the front and the rear tires have the same amount of outside wear on both sides.

No usually you will have more camber wear in the rear. This is most likely what happened.

Alignment must be out a good bit. Have it checked and then you will know for sure.

What's the make and model of the tires? A picture showing the wear would be great.

Sometimes, if it's not a tire that has inside and outside specified, people may remount the tires to opposite side to even out tire wear. Not likely but possible. Also possible if you have really excessive toe-in.

I also have a 2014 Touring/Sport. At about 7,500 miles, I added Swift springs and 20/25 spacers (as well as SPC front and SPL rear camber arms). I retained the stock RE050 tires as well, and I do have front and rear Eibach sway bars.

About a month ago, at 11,000 miles (currently 11,500 miles), I decided to check the tires carefully to see how they have been wearing, and I was surprised to see what looks like greater outside tire wear than inside, which you wouldn't expect. However, my outer tire wear is more pronounced on the front tires than on the rear tires, which is in contrast to your experience. The uneven wear on all tires is not excessive, but it is noticeable.

I have maintained the tire pressure between 34 and 35 psi the entire time. I have had the car aligned three times to my specifications since the springs were installed (only 4,000 miles ago). My front camber has remained at -1.9 to -2.0 degrees the whole time. Similarly, my rear camber has remained at -1.6 to -1.7 degrees. Caster is an even 6.1 degress on both sides. The only variable in my alignment is toe. I have had it set to +.05 front and +.09 rear each time, but it apparently doesn't hold too well. The toe values are way off (sometimes one side negative and one side positive) and have to be reset.

So I'm just as confused as you are regarding the outside tire wear, especially on a daily driven street car with relatively a lot of negative camber.

If anyone has any ideas about the cause of this pattern of tire wear, please chime in.

Well, I guessed I am not alone. I am wondering if the wheel spacers have anything to do with the excessive outside tire wear? At first I thought I have poster camber, after all that will cause outside tire wear. Then I looked at the tires and they definitely have negative camber, how much I don't know. But now you have confirmed that even with negative camber you still have excessive outer tire wear. What gives?
