We picked up a red first gen. A while back I had a second gen and it was a POS so we opted for the first instead. Red with enkei RPFO1's already on it. One has road rash though so it's plasti dip until we can afford powder coat.

Thanks. Now we just need to find him a more stable job.

When the housing market climbs back up, selling my condo will be the key to creating a blank slate. I owe 91k and it's back up to 95k. Only needs time and then I will be free of the debt. I'd rather rent than keep living like this.

Almost forgot to mention. We decided not to run Friday. I don't want to waste gas and money while we are in this much of a struggle so we're going to wait until next season. However, we will make it to C&C this Saturday, assuming his schedule doesn't get toyed with again.

Sorry to hear about your cash money troubles. Wifey and I are in a similar situation. I'm looking to get some evening work to help us do the things we need to do. Plus I haven't seen my family in over two years so a trip back to England is overdue.

I was looking for you last weekend, I went poking around the Mini area but didn't see anyone. Hopefully (finally) catch up with you this weekend.

Did manage to meet Infamous though - good meeting you dude. :tiphat:

What up guys, I just picked up a 2012 6MT Gun Metal Gray 370Z. I have seen a red 370Z and another gray one up here. Anyone on the forums? Both on Centennial and losee area.

We were not there last weekend because I was getting stabbed multiple times by an inexperienced blood draw person and almost passed out. :(

Welcome to the forums. I think most of us are southwest. Not sure if anyone is up there in the north or not?

PedroVonSmith 10-17-2013 03:23 PM

I local here in vegas owns and runs a car clothing company called DorkiDori clothing. He is putting a limited run of shirts through featuring Z34's. You can get one if you go to DorkiDori - Z34 02 he doesnt do reprints so if you want one get one now. They are nice!. Just a heads up. Also does anyone drift there 370Z? I tested it out last night and I see no reason why these will not drift. They will, but the money factor is high. I plan on taking my 370 to the next Vegasdrift event and testing it out there in a safe environment. If anyone wants to go with me let me know. I have volunteered at and driven in a few events (had a 240sx). They are a riot.

PedroVonSmith 10-17-2013 08:03 PM

Does anyone elses First gear sound like an angry cat under a pillow thats 10 feet away? I have read that first gear is loud but man. It is nuts that and its been 2 days and I am still getting used to the clutch. This thing is wierd..... But I like it alot....

SS_Firehawk 10-17-2013 10:52 PM

370Z's tend to drift really well, more so the Nismo's. With a real diff (a mechanical 2 way), they would be stellar. To use your brakes to initiate a drift, you have to pull the brake override fuse so you can brake and gas at the same time. I don't drift, I'm just passing along what I've read. But yes, tires and maintenance on the Z for drifting might suck.

Also regarding first gear, the stock exhaust blows @ss (my opinion). That was the first thing to go in my car. at 5krpm, it just sounds buzzy and coarse in the cabin. It sounds okay outside, but it's quiet still.

PedroVonSmith 10-18-2013 12:08 AM

I will post the next event date up here when VegasDrift has another session. It is at Las Vegas Speedway. If anyone is interested in going hit me up. You need a helmet and I can get you the form for tech. Its pretty basic. Does anyone go to meets other than C&C?

Infamous 10-18-2013 12:11 AM

Congrats on the new z pedro. I came from anm s13 hatch. Look into removing or replacing the clutch helper spring. It feels much better than stock.

PedroVonSmith 10-18-2013 12:33 AM

I still have a built SR20 full swap I am trying to sell..... Haltech ECU, transmission full swap.... Have 240 parts for days I am trying to sell. I am looking into the clutch helper spring right now thanks for the heads up! GTR button already installed. Need to do moar!

Did you only remove or did you replace?

Infamous 10-18-2013 09:54 AM

I replaced. I'll try to find who I bought it from on here and let you guys know.

Infamous 10-18-2013 10:03 AM

Pm Jsolo or LMBmikeZ for $20 shipped to your door. The latter is a vendor, but I bought from jsolo. I highly recommend it, i have much better clutch feel since changing it. What year 240 pedro? Any pics? I kind of miss mine.

PedroVonSmith 10-18-2013 06:22 PM

This is was my 93 coupe 240sx, Bangarang..... SR20det blacktop. Many extras, had a blast with it. This was my project/drift car. It was fun and soul sucking. But the 240 scene took a **** so fast I needed to get out of it.

If I see you at CnC again, d'you think I could check your clutch out? I just want to see if it's worth the hassle.

Infamous 10-19-2013 04:22 AM

Yea, most definitely. What time will you be there tomorrow? I'm off at 6 and can be there early. I wanna get home to sleep after, I probably won't sick around long.

JENZ 10-19-2013 08:54 AM

Not making it this morning. Got to hit the DMV this morning.

PedroVonSmith 10-19-2013 09:53 AM

I thought C&C was on sundays, I will make it next week.

SS_Firehawk 10-19-2013 10:37 AM

I'll be home next weekend and maaaaybe that following week. I really need to take some time to polish my car up. Paint feels rough.

Maybe we can arrange a group meet for next weekend?

SS_Firehawk 10-19-2013 12:55 PM

That sounds like a good idea. Let me check in on a couple places that might be a cool spot.

SS_Firehawk 10-19-2013 01:04 PM

I have a small idear... I messaged force fed racing to see if we can use their parking lot there for a get together. They have a dyno there that I need to strap my car into anyways. I'll see what they say, if not, there are a million other spots.

Infamous 10-19-2013 02:52 PM

Mind asking how much they'd charge to install an nst pulley kit? We should do a group buy dyno run package. Lol

SS_Firehawk 10-19-2013 03:18 PM

They've done it before on my car and they did fine installing that. I can give you their number. Their dyno's are cheap, when George replies back to my text, I'll ask what they can do.

They usually do their work in the afternoons and evenings. I've never seen them there before noon unless they're hosting an event

PedroVonSmith 10-19-2013 03:53 PM

I am all for a meet. If not at Forcefed we I can talk to DDS, who is right down the street. They don't have a dyno there but its a decent sized shop but it would have to be during the day. They have horrible lighting in there parking lot. There is a good parking lot at the new VA hospital in North Vegas. Huge Parking lot good lighting and security. Only downside to that is its on 215 and pecos way in north town.

JENZ 10-19-2013 07:19 PM

I love all those ideas.

I have had such a hard time getting a hold of them in the past. That's the only reason I asked.

I have both of their numbers and friends on their FB page, I should be able to find out something soon.

Super Tanooki 10-21-2013 02:33 AM

I'm down for a meet, I'll try to keep a closer eye on here and whatever you guys decide I'll be there. A day meet is okay if it's at the weekend.

I'd rather not just go to a parking lot somewhere. A more social setting like coffee, food, beer, whatever, is my preference. I don't mind, though, either way.

So I'm thinking of trying to do a dyno day. Maybe at Doug's dyno or force fed. This is of course a good portion if you want to see what your car puts down. I'm also gathering a group from 8 bit racing in Vegas, that befriended me on FB. I have an old friend with them lol. I think they r mostly subies and evo's. I don't know how much it'd cost per run, but I'll try and get it at $20 a pass and maybe $40-$50 for three. Afterwards, we can go grab a small bite and socialize. I wanna try and keep everything as affordable as possible.

JENZ 10-21-2013 09:36 AM

I am unsure what my husbands shedule will be this upcoming weekend so I'll have him find out today. Just so I can let you know my availability.

SS_Firehawk 10-21-2013 09:44 AM

That's an awesome idea. Please post or pm your availability so I can try and get the best time window to squeeze everyone in.

Speaking of... I have an Avenged Sevenfold concert to attend at 7:30 Saturday.

JENZ 10-21-2013 10:38 AM

Jealous....

SS_Firehawk 10-21-2013 04:33 PM

Well I left a message at Dougs Dyno Power in Henderson, that's an AWD Mustang Dyno. I was able to get ahold of a GF of one of Force Feds owners and talked to her for a few minutes. So she's going to pass the word to him and hopefully he'll call back. I never thought it'd be so hard trying to give people money.

If this doesn't pan out, then we'll just find a normal place to meet up and have drinks or something.

SS_Firehawk 10-21-2013 05:42 PM

Gonna start a list to see who's interested, so i can get a headcount. And please indicate if you plan on making a dyno pass

1. SS_FireHawk + Dyno
2.PedroVonSmith + Dyno
3. Jenz + Dyno
4.
5.

PedroVonSmith 10-21-2013 06:25 PM

I am in, even though its a stock 370z I would like to see what it has on the dyno.
