Hey all! Where do you recommend going for an Uprev tune? I'm planning on getting the BP twin Scroll turbo kit, but don't know of any reputable tuners here in vegas. I know Specialty Z is 5 hours away, but that's pretty far for a base tune after a diy install :P

I don't have any experience with tuners in LV , I make the drive to Specialty Z. But I know there is a couple of shops. Tuned by devin and church automotive tuning. Either one or both has experience with Uprev and 370zs

I'm with James, drive to SpecialtyZ and have Seb tune your car. He won't do UPREV because ECUTEK is a much better tuning package.

I have also heard good things about Church as well, but if you are boosted you want ECUTEK for you tuning package.

So I should go with ECUTEK instead of UpRev? What are the differences between the two?

ECUTEK allows the tuner more control over tuning parameters so that they are better able to manage things like timing which allow for the best performance and safety for your engine. Also you are able receive updates and adjusted tunes from your tuner for easy uploading, you don't have travel back to the shop to reprogram your ecu. In addition you can do data logs and send them to the tuner when trouble shooting issues.

No w for the good stuff. ECUTEK comes with what they call RaceRom. This allows you to have control over different things like; traction control, flat foot or no clutch shifting, launch control, and velvet setting that will not let the car driven above 30mph and limit the reving of the engine. You get like 5 or 6 different maps that incorporates all these features. Uprev can't do all those things. Check out there website and give Sebastian at SpecialtyZ a call he is very good at beaking it down for you.

That sounds awesome! Sorry for asking, but how do you switch between different maps? Is there a programmer in the car or do you use a stock button somewhere?

Np, you switch maps by fisrt holding down the cruise control cancel button till the needle on the rpm guage moves to 1 or 2 or 3000 rpm number and tells you what map you are on and while it is holding that position you use cruise control toggle to move the needle up or down to select your map and when you are at the map you want you press the cancel button to select that map. It's way easy.

Sounds good. Hopefully by June I will have the BP kit here and ready to be installed. Hoping I can get in the 500rhp area safely

Hello my fellow Vegas Peeps. Just wanted to say thanks for having me as a fellow Z owner and welcoming me to the forum. It was nice meeting and talking with the people I meet from the site.

My adventures with my Z have come to an end. I had to get something better because of my back issues, the issues were keeping my from being able to enjoy the Z as I wanted to.

I traded in the Z for a 2016 Maxima SR. The Z will be missed, but looking forward to my new adventures with the Maxima. I will still hang around this site as part on my memories with the Z.

I wish all my fellow forum member the best and hope to see you all out making your own memories and adventures, life is short so go have fun .

Whats up guys! Quick question. I am in the process of getting a full exhaust. I am going to buy headers, high flow cat, and prolly go 3" pipes. Does anyone know where I can get a cat that goes from 2.5 headers to 3 pipes? Thanks!

I'm not sure. I currently have stock headers a berk HFC and a Stillen CBE. I plan on going with the BP turbo kit which uses the stock headers so I never really looked into getting headers.

So why do you want 3" pipes? They will not prvide any performance benefit unless you going to a force induction setup. If you are looking to do a turbo setup then you don't need to upgrade your headers.

Yea like hotrodz said the 3 in isn't worth the time or money unless your going turbo or S/C. If you do get headers you should just go with fast intentions long tube headers. I run them in vegas and have passed smog.

I'm eventually going to get turbo, just not in the near future. Just trying to buy 3" exhaust now.
