Egt sensor location

I couldn't find this on the forum, but where is a good place to install an egt sensor, does it matter which bank, and how far down the manifold? Thanks

The best and absolute location is on the header just after head exhaust port for each cylinder.

But realistically either bank will do before the catalytic convertor. I had extra O2 bungs installed on my high flow cats and installed the O2 sensor on one side; the EGT on the other side.

Most important part is to mount them before the catalytic convertors
