The best and absolute location is on the header just after head exhaust port for each cylinder.
But realistically either bank will do before the catalytic convertor. I had extra O2 bungs installed on my high flow cats and installed the O2 sensor on one side; the EGT on the other side. Most important part is to mount them before the catalytic convertors Zat
