Well I certainly hope it works out for you. There are too many guys who believed the hype and threw money at them with still nothing to show for it

Well considering I'm local to Visconti and he tuned my car originally (and figured out the fix for cruise control on Autos with 4.08 gears - you're welcome) I'm gonna give it a shot.

EcuTek sells more dreams than a crack pipe! fcuk outta here.

Ecutech for sale. Very slightly used aka bnib. Final product still under dev. If you have a stock z then maybe you will see 609 whp after tune. If you have cai and stickers you might get timing issues...Throw me an offer.... Lol (j/k)

Wow I forgot about ecutech. I guess they couldn't give us a decent product and decided to get out before they lost anymore money.

scionide 09-25-2014 09:49 PM

Well I wouldn't say they forgot entirely...but priority isn't the right word for it either.

They sent me a cable to do some datalogging, which I appreciate but I asked for this MONTHS ago...ignored me then. I have the cable now but their responses have gone back to being slow. They say they're working on the features as always but, I just want my idle problem fixed right now :shakes head:

I honestly think they are BS, I jumped on this the beginning of the year , I had the cable in the box sitting in my house for WEEKS( 7) and the tuner wouldn't even responded to me, I had a thread on here about him and the company. Glad I went back to UPREV.
Maybe one day they'll have their crap together but till then we only have one choice.
Or maybe they wont and they cant delivery what they said they had done better than UPREV( Timing). EH. Sorry Scionide I know we had been talking before too.

And another 3 months have passed since more empty promises were made. Two engineers dedicated to the task, indeed.

When people are talking about their dissatisfaction, can you specify who you're complaining about? There are three involved parties. I don't think Ecutek has ever posted here. It was Visconti and one other vendor blowing all the smoke up our collective asses, right? Visconti disappeared after talking a good game and the other guy was a borderline scammer?

You may be right. A quick look at the Ecutek web site turned up no announcements of new features for the 370Z RaceRom suite (or anything else 370Z-related as far as I can tell).

Someone should send them a link to this thread and ask if they would like to respond. I just can't work up enough give-a-sh!t to do it myself.

Mine was with really the "other" Guy Dynotronics. Visconti tried to get me to go with him and Ecutck also but I went back to UPREV. Biggest thing I cant understand or will for that matter is the cost difference , UPREV is $650 and Ecutek is like $1100?

Update on my situation. I've been datalogging and getting updates. My idle issue has been resolved mostly, it definitely no longer revs up by itself after going into neutral now. The high cold-start idle is gone now too though I wouldn't really call that one a problem.

As far as issues, my original issue was also with Dynotronics, I later took my car to SpecialtyZ and Sebastian did a good job, but there was a issue with the tune/software. We tried to get Ecutek to help us figure it out but nothing came out of it because they eventually ignored us...Recently I got in contact with Mervyn at Ecutek, whom I believe is the owner? He agreed to have a cable sent to me so I didn't have to keep driving to SpecialityZ to datalog. He's been personally helping me out since then and getting me new ROMs to flash very quickly.

Their facebook page did announce they were working on the advanced features a while ago but, I haven't seen anything since then...Last I heard from Mervyn they're still testing things, I'll see if I can get an update from him on the progress.
