having calibrated with pretty much every software that is available, I can tell you that, yes, Ecutek will easily perform as well, if not better than everything else. In addition, it is FAR EASIER to use, and has correct(read as real) tables, with properly interfaced data. The current version we are on has quite a few more tables then anything on the market too.

![]() ![]() ![]() I will ask this question again. When can we start seeing some actual dyno graphs because it has been a month at least if not longer? I am a number's guys, so I love to see graphs & figures. Please show me some actual solid figures on what this great product has done. I do not mind reading, but I'm not a huge reader. I just keep reading blaah blaah he said/she said nuance. PROOF & FIGURES DO NOT LIE, but can be deceiving in a way.

I'm assuming when the MHI TT kits start shipping out and getting installed, we'll all have our proof. I personally went EcuTEK myself. We'll see what happens. ^^

That's what I'm waiting for. I'll give it a couple of months. I'm not particularly interested in being a guinea pig for Ecutek on a FI 370.

I'm gonna be taking my car to a respected tuner down here in South FL, most likely HPLogic. I hope they have some knowledge about the system. I'll be contacting them soon when the kit is closer to shipment, so I can have an idea if they are capable of working with the software. Sam/Mike had me sold on the features, how it can control boost levels as well as future overhead for VVEL tuning. I'm very interested in being a part of that, and moving the platform forward.

I have UpRev all read installed on my Z, but I ordered the MHI TT kit with EcuTECH. I will make the decision on which way I go with my tuner. I figure if I'm not comfortable with EcuTECH at the time of my TT install I can stick with UpRev until I am, but for the price of the turn key package I think its worth it regardless. Like someone said earlier, how often do you use more than one map????

There's three things I want to see in action- the boost control, better timing control and the effects of dialing back some cam overlap so I'm not blowing boost out the exhaust valves.

Any guesstimates on when you'll see the boost control? The post form GTM at the top of the page seems like it's coming fairly soon, or at least as soon as their kits ship.

My guess would be based of the MAP sensor, but I'm not sure exactly how they plan on implementing it without some sort of solenoid to manage the wastegates.

So because they re-write the core software that runs on the ECU, basically just using the ECU as a computer to run their own operating system on, they can use the various inputs and outputs however they want.
So if they want to use one of the outputs that might have been for something not needed any longer (like some sensor or solenoid that can be eliminated, EVAP or some such, I dunno), to control a boost solenoid, they can. Oh, and there may actually be inputs and outputs that are available on the ECU, but not wired to anything at all in the stock config, so they can make a change to the harness and use those inputs for other purposes, like boost control. |
