But what I am asking is if I bought this, could i use it on my AND my brothers 370, or would it only work for one of the cars(as in is this something i can get multiple uses out of)?
No the cobb AP has to be "married" to the car it's being used on. That means once it's married to a particular car it can not be used on any other car. That being said you can always unmarry it from your car and then use it on your brothers but by unmarring it you would be reverting back to stock. Still, for the money it's a great product. I had one for my WRX and loved it. Very easy plug and play for those who want hp gains without having to worry about special tunes and dyno's. Typically when you buy the AP it comes with maps already preloaded for you to choose from. For example my AP for my WRX came with the stage 1 map, stage 2 map, econo map, vallet map, etc.
