Peak gain from 284 to 295 hp, 222 to 232 tq. Looks like a healthy diff in the lower/mid RPM range, which is all in line with what i've heard/read

Was hoping to be in the 310-320 range but that was pretty optimistic i guess. I know the Mustang runs lower; some of the other google search results say its as much as a 10-12% difference between Mustang and a Dynojet (seems high?)

Dyno tuner said the gas was a limiting factor, said the Shell 91 gas i used was some of the worst in the area

As I swapped to an aftermarket steering wheel, I did not have the cruise control buttons for all the fancy features (my own damn fault), but I don't really need 4 maps.

I think if you get the bluetooth modules you can switch maps, etc from your phone.
I find having a "valet" map which keeps the car out of boost and limited to 50mph gives me some peace of mind in the few scenarios I need to leave my car with someone else for service.

The valet map is a very nice feature.

Default Just got an Ecutek tune!

I accidentally put mine in valet mode (with the cruise button) the first day after my tune. Hard to go down a 50 mph road when it accelerates that slowly.
Embarrassing.

I think it would have made 310 if they had pulled it to 7500 instead of stopping at 7200 like it shows in the report.

The motor was still gaining power and not peaked out yet!

So did you bring in your own ecu-tec license and cord? You are not FI so why ecu-tec? Do you recommend it after doing it? Can you go back and change something in a few weeks? what parameters did they change- timing/AFR. I want to do this soon and have 2 choices on my cruise control.

Whether its worth it or not is really up to you. I just wanted to maximize my current mods and correct what was running lean

Ecutek tunes are "locked" to the tuner you go with, so another tuner can't just come in and change it, but that tuner can

i did not buy a cord, but i bought a license

LOL, I forgot I had mine on...then proceeded out for the first session of a track day and the car bogged down with everyone behind me. Yeah pretty embarrassing to say the least!

I also went with ECUTek. I also have G3s, FI resonated test pipes, except I have an Invidia payback, and ported upper manifold and slightly ported TBs. I put down 312 on 93 Oct on a dynojet. Can't remember the temp outside but it was hot.

Ignoring the power numbers, did the power increase warrant the $800 + for the tune? You feel it was worth it?

Don't forget - you get a little more than just the increase in power.
Flat foot shifting
Launch Control
Traction Control (vastly improved over OEM)
Multiple maps (like a valet map)..though OP did not opt for this
knock warning

And those are just the highlights for an NA Z.. there are some nice additional features for boosted cars too.

OP - mustang dynos are known to be heartbreakers. If you want to see the goal numbers, find a dynojet on a cold day at sea level.

When I got tuned at JTRAN I had asked him about his mustang dyno.. he said it was vastly superior in terms of what you could do with it as a tuning tool compared to the dynojet... but eventually he had to sell it and get a dynojet because people were so disappointed with the numbers from it that he was losing business.

send in your intake manifold to Z1 Motorsports for the bored out one. that will wake up the whole power band nicely. you will hit 320 no problem. oh and find yourself some 93 octane gas and have it retuned.
