12.8009 @ 110.33

Best time for my 370 z 7 AT with sport.
A few bolt ons G3, CBE, Berk cats and 4.08 gears.
the best time last time was 13.2008 with only the 4.08s gears
The other bolts ons took me to 12.8009.
Just missed going 12.7's.
Was a great day at the track.

JoeD 09-19-2009 09:22 PM

Awesome run.

RCZ 09-19-2009 09:33 PM

very nice. good time...

Mike 09-19-2009 09:35 PM

great runs!

Red370 09-19-2009 09:57 PM

well i'd say 12 flat or high 11's with any kind of FI really. Not bad.

NIZMOZ 09-19-2009 10:36 PM

Nice...too bad I don't have a track here in Hawaii. It'll be way too cold when I return to the mainland to run at the track (if any are even open).

rednek01 09-21-2009 08:22 AM

Damn good times! After watching Wstar this weekend I will be surprised if he doesn't get in the 12's next time he hits the track especially with some cooler weather with less humidity. Cant wait to see your time slip!

Post them slips man. Gotta do it when you have a time like that.

Mercennarius 09-21-2009 01:04 PM

Its looking like a 370Z and an LS1 are a fair match up in straight line speeds both stock and with bolt ons...

chotyme 09-21-2009 01:18 PM

Great time! Slip please?

dainedazz 09-21-2009 01:51 PM

12.8! nioce! i wonder what those people with the straight STILLEN boltons would run!

i cant wait to track my car this winter! i wanna get into the 12's!

A little faster I think. The LS1 98-2000, I had a 99, and with a few bolt ons, only could muster 13.5 at 105.3 mph at a crappy track we use to have that is now closed. If these times are real, 110mph is quick, that is over 5mph faster than the LS1 I had.

True a 110mph trap shows a power:weight good for easy mid 12s with traction.

Mercennarius 09-21-2009 03:49 PM

What i'm most impressed with actually is the response to basic mods like intake/exhaust/tune that the 370Zs are seeing...their actually seeing decent gains, unlike the 350Z where full bolt ons barely nets you stock 370Z power(HRs are a little better).

Z eliminator 09-21-2009 04:14 PM

On the next pass it ran a a 12.95 @ 110.92.
I spoke to Hal today from injected about drag radials and rims.
He will be getting back to in the next few days.
It looks like ET Street Radials 11.
(305/35R18) .

Will send time slips tonight and pictures.

GingaBreadMan 09-21-2009 05:01 PM

Very impressive numbers with just bolt-ons. I don't drag but this let's me know this cars potentially when u put I little money into it. With a ECU flash I think u can do a 12.5 or 12.6. Keep up the good work.

tcarretti 09-21-2009 05:59 PM

Question about the gearing... would these make highway cruising uncomfortable? Would they be practical for a DD car?

Thanks,

Tony

kdo2milger 09-21-2009 06:44 PM

congrats! looks like your the first to get the z in the 12's with bolt ons and 4:08 gears

ElementMotorsport 09-21-2009 06:48 PM

Awesome time man!

Did you use the 4.08's that people use for the 350z?

I watched one of friends run a 12.9 @ 110 in a 100% stock '02 WS6.

HR's are a bit better. I went from 260~ stock, to 293 with bolt ons and tune. :)

02's had a different intake manifold, and a few other changes to the engine that allowed it to breath better so it had better performance. Also a WS6 has a few other goodies, like RAM Air, Exhaust, etc. WS6's aren't considered stock.

rednek01 09-22-2009 08:40 AM

Holy cow what a reaction time on that first run! :worship:

With the proper suspension and tires you can get that 60ft down to 1.6's or so and you'll be cooking with Crisco!

DannyGT 09-22-2009 09:35 AM

I'm more impressed with the mph than anything else!

110 = mid 12s at least with a 1.6/7 60'

Thats actually very impressive.

Just think about it this way...most GTRs are dyno'n, ~420 whp on DynoJets...If we with a SC/Turbo get ~450whp and we weigh-in ~500lbs less than a GTR, than besides the launch control system and instant shifts that give the GTR its great 1/4 mile time, with a 1.7 60' we should definitly be in the mid 11s with some very nice trap speeds!

I wonder, with F.I. (450rwhp or so) and cutting 1.6 60' times if we will start seeing diffs crumble and or half shafts breaking and or other drive train issues. I know Dreamer was having some clutch issues at the track and he is pretty much stock.

Aww ... dont be jealous now... And dont even make me start counting the number of times ive seen a mustang pulled over w/ smoke out the engine bay from 65mph cruising:stirthepot: :p

I think the question is fair. I know I am not the first one to have their clutch stick going into 2nd at the 1/4 mile track. I did a run after that happened maybe 10 minutes later and it seemed fine so, one time fluke?
