2 weeks ago !!!!!! Hope fully buy Oct 22. Then i need to get it installed .
And i hope that the tracks will still be open. Traction will be a major issue as the temps get colder. The track will only be parsally prepped, Z |
Hopefully it all happens in time so you can set a new best before the end of the year!
|
Come on Steve get it done!! I need a new goal.woohoo
|
It looks like this coming friday night, High of 48 low of 42 degress no rain in sight.
It could be the last friday night that the track is open. Going with the the stock 19's . sport tires. the new motordyne intake and we will see what she runs. Chris is bringing his car with his intake and F1 exhaust. Z |
Man I wish I had an F1 exhaust lol! That would make the car really quick!
Fast Intentions (FI) Sounds like gold |
Those are some nice temps, Steve. Good luck.
|
GL steve. my new tire cames in today, were going to the track in 3 weeks... still mid to high 80's here booo.
|
More good news.. Sam at GTM has the torque converter !!!!!!!!!
He told me that they have started working on the VB. but it going to be some time before its completed. Stage 2 GTM SC . 3200 stall converter, VB. 4.08 gear's GRT intake manifold. + the bolt on's Line lock in 2011. The 305 35 18 drag radials will soon get a work out. My only concern is the axiles. 11. ????? @ ????? April 2011. Z |
That 3200 stall will be nice. :yum:
Do you have a target ET you're trying to hit or are you just out there to see what it does with no real focused expectations? |
Friday night i'm hoping to go 12.7"s . That will be my quickist todate.
The SC with all the mod's should go 11.7's to 11.8 or quicker, according to the drag racing formulas. I will running my stock 19 inch tire's friday night. The converter should be here in about 10 days. Hopefully the track will still be open depending on the weather. ( snow ) Z |
Sweet. Hopefully you can get a few runs in with the 3200 before the track closes for the year.
|
Well i had to settle for a 12.896 @108.25
Thats running with the motordyne intake manifold with a rich fuel curve. R/T .075 60 ft 2.061 330ft 5.505 1/8 8.368 MPH 88.60 1000ft 10.816 12.896 108.25 It was cold 41.6 degress @ 66 % rh and it dropped to 37.4 as the night went on. Trackion was not good. Thank God for heated seat in our cars. The intake pulls way harder than the stock 3.7 intake manifold. I compared it to my other time slips and there is a big differnece in the 1/8 and 1000 ft time's, It does not have the top end charge as i lost 3 MPH on the traps. It ran rich top end. My Cobb read it at 12.3 to 11.9 A/F at the end of the 1/4 mile. Due to the cold weather they closed the track 1 hour and 30 min sooner> i got there at 8.30 and got 4 runs in. I did not have time to let the car cool down tonight. The traction got worse as the night went on as a guy broke a rad hose on the starting line and the lane was history for the rest of the night. I do not like the other lane as im a scared of it as it loose's traction 1/2 way down the track. I spun my tires tonight in that lane. I also could not get any 94 octane gas tonight . Had to use 91. I tried my best tonight but the tires were spinning on me in the last 300 ft and its not a good feeling it feels like the back of the car is floating At 7100 rpm. Track prep was not good tonight as they said it was too cold and the glue did not stick to the track. Un less they get a warm day thats it for drag racing up here. going to go faster next year ( if my parts ever get here ). Z |
According to Road & Track you're as fast as a 370z with a Stillen supercharger. ;)
2010 Stillen Nissan 370Z Review ? Stillen Performance Parts Make One Killer 370Z ? RoadandTrack.com "Lay into the throttle from a standstill, and 60 mph comes up in 4.5 seconds—7/10ths quicker than the last 370Z we tested. The quarter mile rushes up at 12.8 sec. and 113 mph" lol |
|
Loosing 3 mph is a significant amount. Hard to Believe the 1000 coulda been much faster than last time If there's no improvement in the 1400 mark ( 1/4 Mlle ) and a loss of 3 mph
|
It pull way harder at the 1/8 mile. I've never hit 88.6 mph in the 1/8 mile in the 370.z
My last run was a 13.03 @ 111.37. I wish that i had time to lean out the top end of the fuel curve with the cobb last night but there was no time. Hopefully Sam ship my Torque converter soon As for the stillen Sc, 12.8009 is my best pass and i have trapped at almost 113 mph. If had a 3200 stall converter it would be alot faster. They posted 12.8 but was it a 12.8???????. The quickist 370 z in the 1/4 mile is Jnaut's car 12.683 not mine. He is a 6 mt and mines a 7 AT. He is way faster than the Stillen SC. Z |
Holly friggen cold!! lol Steve its like 86 here @9 am. but anyways can you post up the time slips and temps.. Also what about putting it back on the dyno with the intake? These passes were on your factory rims/tires correct? chuck might be right losing 3mph in extremely cold weather is a good bit, but i know there are a lot of factors, here. but anyways G.L. next year...
|
The passes were on the drag radial's I spent all after noon getting the car ready. i even took off the front bumper and washed and reoiled the stillen G3 frilters.
Jnaut send me your fax # and i will send you the my intake dyno on the Motordyne intake. Z |
12.8 NA is cool with me. Might go that route. Is Jnaut's car NA?

The track may be open tommorrow . If it is i will be going.
Ive made some ajustments to the fuel curve and will have 94 octane gas. temps should be in the mid to high 40's in the afternoon. Morning temps will be around 36 degrees. Its a good thing that i have heated seats in the car. Z |
Good luck, Steve!

That sucks, Steve. Hopefully you can get some good. Running in next season.
