Default Spring suggestions?

Hello,

Anyone have spring suggestions for a DD/TD car. I would only want to lower
the car by 10 mm max as I still like to make it up my driveway without repaving.

I have 2014 sport adding hotchkis sways, not decided about which coilovers yet. Swift spec r lowers by 30/25 cm that seems pretty drastic to me from stock.

I read the damping tech paper and understand that but still want a DD but best track day setup.

Thanks,
jb

What he means to say is, get coilovers that will let you adjust the ride height back up to mostly stock while still getting you stiffer spring rates and shock valving.

BC, Powertrix or KW V3's if you prefer OEM-style rear suspension.

Stance SS+ or Fortune Auto 510's if you pefer true-type rear coilovers.

I didn't realize the coilover replaces the stock springs.

Looks like I need to go that way.

Cheers,

KW V1's are also a good buy, they are only one way adjustable but for street only use they will get the job done.. If you don't understand rebound, then rebound is not your friend and not really needed for just street use. V1's have compression only.

510's are not true type. They make no true type even when I called and begged. They've done it before but won't again.

Are you sure they are adjustable? I have been looking for coilovers vs the Koni/swift combo and saw that the v1's are pre set.
KW coilover Variant 1 /// Sporty and harmonious with factory pre-set damping

Hmm, good question. It's been a while since I checked but I thought they had one ways on them. Then again, I could be just confusing them with the Koni yellows.

I would still say either is a good buy, quality product, and a person would not be disappointed with either for street use. Hear nothing but good things about both.

not to get off subject but when I called fortune last month they advised me NEVER to buy the 500 or 510 coilovers in true style and that they stopped production on them and will not warranty them either. I was going to get them last week, called fortune and talked to the gm.
basically said our car wasn't made to handle true style in the rear and it will eventually after time or aggressive driving bend metal and or mess things up.
no personal experience and for sure not hating on ppl that have them cuz I wanted them so I could run front and rear spring cups from umbrella.
just call and ask to speak to tec or manager an make ur own choice

That's funny. I called last month and a sales guy said buy true. It's the best and what we run on track cars. I guess the only affordable option is stance.

And I'm sorry but I've never seen another car with huge thick *** steel in the rear tower. The 370z looks plenty beefy.

Do it! I love mine, all the adjustability and an external res. the swift springs option is worth every penny too. Plus you don't have to worry about your spring falling out when unloaded.
