Unfortunately I never got to run the strip on the bottle - the only thing we had in Omaha that was close was an 1/8th mile, so spraying was semi-pointless.

Off the bottle, I ran in the 7.3-7.4 area (good for mid-11's in the quarter). Probably would have been better with more driver mod, but the drive to the track was far too irritating, and the actual track prep for each Friday night was horrendous.

It was an M6, btw - not a "massive-torque-converter-so-all-I-need-to-do-is-mash-the-gas-and-let-go-when-I-want-to-launch".

As far as numbers, it was ~390 RWHP off the bottle and ~520 on (Dynojet).

Oh, and if I hear, "11's AINT FAST" - please...it's faster than 99.5% of the cars on the road, especially off the bottle.

NYBladeZ 03-29-2010 11:32 AM

11's are pretty damn fast, going about a normal day of driving I might see 3 cars that are that fast.

Was expecting 13.4 or better. 60 foot was 2.29. I'm gonna wait unil radials are here and go back. My mph dropped to 104 as the day went on and that was the biggest disapointment.

I pulled a 2.0 one pass but spun 2nd badly. That was my shot at 13.4 or better.

I even pulled a 2.6 60. That may be a record. Lol

Temp F : 83
barometer ? : 28.77

1/8 : 8.981
MPH : 82.51
1000 : 11.531
1/4 : 13.686
MPH : 104.66

best 60: 2.0 <---- ruined run on a bad shift
best mph , first run 105.32

also got my car on the scale and it weighed 3420 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas...

gotta add in your elevation also. elevation place a HUGE part in a cars performance. its why ATCO is infamous for posting times 2-4tenths quicker than other tracks because its low elevation and Low DA sometimes negative DA.

klubbheads 04-15-2010 10:50 AM

I think it would be nice if everyone also included Density Altitute especially since the Zs are NA cars and are affected by DA greatly. From my experience, ET can vary almost a full second from good to bad DA.

da affects times by 1-3 tenths of a second. with is substantial from say a -300 DA to like a DA of 800. but it would take a huge difference in DA to affect your performance by a full second

03threefiftyz 04-18-2010 05:05 PM

DA is important. My car runs 13.30-13.38 at 2200-2800', 13.15-13.2 at 1200' +/- 200', 13.08-13.12 at 0-500', and 13.0-13.05 at -500 +/- 200'.

Cheers.

I gained 0.4 seconds and 3mph just by racing from 5000 DA to 3500 DA. No additional mods and no change in the 60ft time. So just like the previous post, yes DA does matter. Not 200-300 but anything over 1000 is a significant change how the NA car accelerates.

ODUB 04-25-2010 12:40 AM

Glad to see these things aren't as fast stock as I had originally feared lol No need to mod just yet.

1slow370 04-25-2010 04:13 AM

troll guy runs a 13.3 at best stock when we've seen z's hit 13.1

I've seen stock 370Zs trap as high as 108MPH...plenty in the 104-107MPH range.

370Zs run about identical to stock LS1s...

ODUB 04-25-2010 02:23 PM

yeah that 108 is what i'm afraid of lol. That's about the highest I've trapped too. Average in the 106-107 range on the times i've dragged race. I haven't done it very often, just enough to prove a point to some people.

108mph with a stock MR? Were you racing underground or something with -2000 DA?

my buddy in his full bolt on / tuned auto just ran a 13.0 at 107 at englishtown . 2.0 60

with a heavy system and a lambo door kit.. my car put down almost 20 more whp on the same dyno too.... argh ... damn the automatics...

i was supposed to go , have my drag tires and everything but opted to go next week, its 50 degrees , perfect track day..

hell have slip and video later

My best trap with 292 rwhp was 110.92 on street tires and some bolt ons/

chuckd05 04-28-2010 10:38 PM

He has Injen CAI, Berk Test Pipes, Greddy Exhaust ( one with stillen type muffler with burnt tips ) and an uprev tune... He has a slew of look nice parts and he knows my car to be the quicker and his is the show car... He put on a good show there tonight. From what i hear he opened some people eyes.. he went with a group of 350 HRs that ALL got beat lol

I cant wait to get some slips up on the 350 site. lol

hes got it on video.. He just replaced his rubber yesterday with 275 hankook evo's ... Id imagine an auto with radials would pull 1.8s with ease if you can get 2.0s with an inexperienced first time at the strip ever driver.

pretty impressive... it was about 50 degrees when he got there, he lost a little traction as it got cooler he said...

Bro, seriously? You came onto a 350z site.....in a disagreeable, elitist manor. People will take exception with you when you come at them like that. No offense, but you could use a slice. I'm glad the 370's are starting to really get after it. Its been too long.

:tiphat:

P.S. I am still hoping I don't look like a fool for saying someone will pull a 12.4 on the stock long block with a VHR. No reason it can't happen.

klubbheads 04-29-2010 11:38 AM

^not to derail the thread but i used to visit that forum since 2003 and since 2005 when the used market was available to teens, the forum became crap. 350 owners always thought that their car was better than any car out there only ferrari is a little better than the 350z and thats about it. When the teens started getting their hands on 350Zs, that is when i quit even going to that forum. I have logged on couple of times since and quickly realised why i hate that place. G35driver had the used market douchebags coming in but we quickly prevented that from happening and for the most part it still remains a great place to visit.

Not only the online crowd is like that but the people that actually attend the meets. We have had number of canyon runs and they would look at my G sedan (6MT modded) and would spit out comments like "stock DE Z is faster strait line or in turns). I would laugh and spank them in both areas. I never had that problem with any other car group, including s2ks, bimmers, G35s etc..

I'm not saying they are all like that but majority of them are. I have met one great person on that forum who is luckily also on this place. I am glad this forum is not like that and i hope it doesn't turn into a my350z.com
