Cheap helmets are HJC, just go try different brand just for size, and order online (way cheaper)

^^ True, if you want to use a motorcycle helmet, you can check out Del Amo Motorsports in Redondo Beach.

I used to use Fulmer Helmets for years when I was drifting because they were cheap, but saved up enough to get an Arai now that I do higher speed racing. (I've seen too many crashes so now I only really trust the bigger names - if Arai is good enough for Formula 1, its good enough for me!)

I'm not sure about this, but the main difference between a car helmet and motorcycle is fire retardant?

No, there is different testing involved for the different impacts that they may take.

Visited Bert's mega mall today. Just wanted to pop in for 15 minutes to check out the helmets and ended up staying for two hours! That place is seriously packed with toys. I was like a fat kid in a candy store.

Back on topic: they did have Snell certified helmets available.
