What pads and rotors are people using?

What do you guys use on the track? How do you like them? have you tried anything else? Ive used Carbotech RP2, Cobalt XR2 and am currently on Carbotech XP10.

Also is there a better street pad than OEM? Something with less dust?

Has anyone found a pad that they have successfully used for both street and track use?

We have run 14 ,19's and 29's depending on track grip abd what we are going after. They have a newer compound for track day cars which may be something to look into.
In my experience; Pagids don't upset ABS systems and are much easier to modulate on corner entry. Their pad life is very good ...although sometimes its too good.

I run CL RC6's on (for the moment) DBA rotors. 5000 fronts and 4000 rears.

XP12f/XP10r felt really nice on R6s at Road Atlanta this December. I am going to try 12/12 on my 350Z this summer.

I really like the Bobcats for street. Decent bite no dust or noise and compatible with the XP pads.

I run XP12/XP12 when I run Hoosiers, Hawk Blue when I run the Nittos.

I do have stoptech brakes though and not sport package.

Do you know where can I get the RS29 for my sports brakes? I can't seem to find them anywhere...

Does the "ice up" happen? Still have abs?

You chose the Endurance Racing Pad from Carbotech... interesting choice. I heard that the RP2 doesn't last as long when heat cycled many times. Designed for ONE big usage (enduro). Any thoughts on the subject??

I can get about 4 Track days out of a set of XP8 pads.

The OEM pads are FINE for daily driving... but better + less dust = no

DS 2500 - sucked (good on rear axle)
DTC 70 - good
CL6 - good
CL6e - better and longer life but harder on rotors
C300 - lower bite then CL6e similar wear

Sorry to bump an old thread, but just checking to see if opinions are the same in late 2015.
I need a new set of pads and rotors and want them to handle HPDEs. Ideally something that can handle a few years of HPDEs without having to change them again.
I also don't want to spend thousands if I can avoid it.

The length of time the track-pads last is entirely up to YOUR usage of them.

4x Track Brake pads from Carbotech run you about $350. They are easy on rotors, but will not last: "a few years."

Generally speaking i get 4-5 days out of a set of brake pads.
Consequently i get 4-5 days out of R-comp tires too.

Food for thought.
