Thinking about going to the track

Well I went tonight and it was pretty embarrasing, but not my fault. The clutch pedal literally stuck to the floor. I had to stick my toe under it to pry it off the floor. It smelled like it burned the clutch up pretty bad, but the car seems to be running fine now. I hope I didn't damage anything.

This is what happened to me the other night. What the hell. Really embarrassing.
Is this preventable?

You need a much higher temp clutch fluid.
