I'm not going to lie that is one of my other reasons but it does serve the purpose. I plan on doing a good amount of tracking and I want to be ready. Its not a hugh wing. Just a APR GTC 200. My car doesn't even have a spoiler so I need something back there and what better than a wing that serves a function for my future events. Mostly I'll be going to Road Atlanta.

Yea they do limit the number of drivers so you have more time on the track. Plus they have great instructors.

Fair enough. Just remember a wing adds downforce but it also adds drag and will reduce you max speed on the straights. Avoid the temptation to try and set it to the highest setting, set it conservative and see what happens. Wings are a balancing act of high speed corner performance vs straight away performance.

I know quite a few people that successfully run the APR wings, but I've also seen one catastrophically fail at 150 mph in a high HP car. With the Z's limited HP you'll be fine.

When you say "catastrophically fail", do you mean some kind of airflow problem that resulted in a sudden loss of downforce at a critical time? Or do you mean the downforce broke/detached the wing itself (which I guess would cause a pretty sudden loss of downforce too)?

The extreme downforce on the wing at high speed at the highest setting caused a structural failure of the wing support. The wing was simply being pushed beyond it's design capabilities. The end result was a sudden loss of downforce as the wing detached and a heavy crash. Fortunately the car was caged and the driver was uninjured. He even has it on video

When you add more HP to a stock car this is something to be considered.

Thanks for looking out. Rep to yea. I have already talked to Mike about it and where to set it. He has his set to the lowest also.
