From what I can tell Nissan is no longer focusing on running factory teams but instead gives a payout for winnings to privateers. This usually means that a team will have to come up with the money themselves and hope to be reimbursed if they are successful.
The only US team road racing team that they are supporting with larger exposure is the Brass Money GT-R in the World Challenge series (broadcast on Versus):
